Plank Challenge Winners!

Congratulations to Marilyn (pictured), our Ladies’ Plank Challenge winner, who achieved an outstanding time of 2 minutes 58 seconds!

And a huge well done to Paul, who held his plank for an impressive 4 minutes 16 seconds, taking the top spot in our Men’s Challenge!

Both Marilyn and Paul started with much lower times and, through consistent dedication, determination and perseverance, gradually built up their endurance to achieve these fantastic results.

A brilliant example of what you can achieve with commitment and a little bit of hard work!

Please be aware that due to a one-off private function. the whole of our Balcony cafe bar will be closed from 1:30pm to 7:30pm this coming Wednesday.

Our opening hours on Weds 19th August will be as follows:
10am-1:30pm (Sports bar side only)
7:30pm-9:45pm (Sports bar side only)

Well done to Sue (pictured here) and Charlotte, who both drew Spain, the eventual World Cup winners, in our lucky dip competition!

As a result, they have each won a month’s free gym membership.

There were a few nervous moments for Gym Manager Michael as England progressed to the semi-finals, knowing that an England World Cup win would have meant awarding a whole year’s free membership to the lucky participants who drew them...we’re sure it would have been worth it!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the competition such a success and congratulations, Sue and Charlotte!

Staying active during pregnancy

You may have noticed Lisa from our team is expecting her first baby!

Lisa has continued to train safely throughout her pregnancy, showing that staying active can support both mum and baby.

Regular, moderate exercise can help:
- Boost mood and energy
- Maintain strength and fitness
- Support healthy pregnancy and recovery
- Support baby’s healthy growth and development

If you’re pregnant, speak to your midwife, GP or healthcare professional before starting or continuing an exercise programme. Listen to your body, stay hydrated, rest when needed and choose activities that feel comfortable.

Every pregnancy is different — always follow your healthcare professional’s advice.
