Why do I play golf?
this is perhaps one of the most important questions that you can ask yourself as a golfer.
Next time you play a around just ask your self this question and make sure you think about it and don’t take the first answer that comes into your head . Make sure the answer is meaningful to you.
It’s the reason why you want to get yourself out to play regularly..
A lot of the time we use score to the par of the course as a justification of a successful game and the reason why we have had a good round or not, however there’s lots of other ways that you can score yourself as you go round the course.
Suggestions :
Score your round with points on recovery shots around the green,
from an up and down that you have just made that looked impossible to make.
Involve games whereby you’re thinking about a shot, and then creating the shots that you have just imagined. How many holes did you do this for? And how did they turn out?
Scoring your round on how much fun you had and how relaxed and detached from your everyday life you felt. (This is my favourite)
What is my big reasons why I play golf every week and love it?

It’s meeting up with friends, having good conversations, putting the world to right as men do lol, non stop laughter, being outside with no distraction of my phone and social media.
Golf is my place of meditation and relaxation from working day life.
Golf to me doesn’t always need to be about scoring to course par. I personalise my round to enjoy the journey and discover what i am capable of achieving on the day.
As i do this i feel my experience of golf shift into how i want to view my game at this time.
I know this can change and scoring maybe my ‘WHY’ i play golf.
And i will ask myself this question every time i step on to the 1st tee.
But for the time being its all about having fun with my mates
Nowadays time can be very precious, so
make a firm commitment on the day of play to appreciate the next opportunity you have on the course.
