Autumn Talk Series...Our first Talk is next Thursday!

KYC members - Join us on Thursday 17th September at 7pm for an interesting talk from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, exploring the Solent's incredible marine life and the work being done to restore vital habitats.

Free to attend, but please book your place so we can keep an eye on numbers - book via the club website.

Feel free to bring along friends and family too just remember to sign them in according to the club rules. Bar will be open from 6pm.

A gentle reminder to KYC members of our Art & Photography Competitions - entries close on 31st October.

As we head into the Autumn, we hope you that you have all had a fabulous summer. There is still time to get 'that' photo or paint that picture to enter into our Art and Photography Competitions.

This year's theme is "Family Fun In/On The Water", and we can't wait to see the wonderful photographs and artwork it inspires.

The competitions are open until 31st October, with a limit of one entry per person, per competition.

To encourage participation across all age groups, entries will be judged within the following categories:

5-8 years
9-11 years
12-16 years
17 years and over

Judging will take place anonymously, with winners and runners-up announced at the Prize Giving Gala in December. Prizes include the winning entries displayed in the club for the year.

BACK TO OUR NORMAL OPENING HOURS FROM 1ST SEPTEMBER

With the end of the school summer holidays fast approaching, we’ll be reverting to our normal opening hours from Tuesday 1st September.

So, what does that mean?

🍻 We’ll be CLOSED on all day Mondays & Tuesdays
🍽️ Kitchen & bar open Wednesday – Sunday lunchtimes 12 noon - 3pm (kitchen 2.30pm)
🌙 Bar open Wednesday - Saturday evenings from 6pm, but closed on Sunday evenings

🇬🇧 We’ll be OPEN tomorrow, Bank Holiday Monday, so come and enjoy the last day of the summer holidays with us!

We’ll then be CLOSED Tuesday 1st September and reopen on Wednesday 2nd September with our new normal opening hours.

Thanks for all your support over the summer — we’ve loved having you with us!

Lymington River Scow Annual Championships – 19 & 20 September

This year it’s the turn of Royal Lymington Yacht Club to host the Lymington River Scow Annual Championships, and we’d love to see plenty of our members getting involved!

There are classes for single-handers, double-handers and juniors, with five races planned, plus a Saturday evening party and the famous Scow tea before Sunday’s prizegiving. For those who don’t fancy racing, there’s also a relaxed ‘potter’ planned, with the possibility of exploring the Lymington Nature Reserve and surrounding waters.

And if you don’t have a boat or trailer, don’t let that put you off – a limited number of Scows are available for charter, with help potentially available to get boats to Lymington from Beaulieu or Keyhaven.

So, why not make a weekend of it and join the fun? The more the merrier!

🔥 BBQ Update 🔥

Having consulted further on the subject of BBQ use, we’re pleased to announce that KYC have decided to lift the ban on using our BBQs.

However, please remember that conditions are still very dry, so if you use one of our BBQs, please do so responsibly and ensure it is fully cleaned and put away safely after use.

Our RYA Powerboat Instructor Course is running this October 2026 at Keyhaven Yacht Club, offering the chance to gain your RYA Powerboat Instructor qualification with our experienced training team.

* Course price: £395 members / £435 inc taster membership
* 3rd, 4th & 17th October 2026
* Keyhaven Yacht Club
* Pre-entry assessment: Sunday 27th September – included in the course price.

Have you ever wanted to learn to sail? Now’s your chance!

We have availability on our RYA Dinghy Sailing Level 1 – Start Sailing course this weekend, Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th August, from 9am–5pm.

Set against the stunning waters around Keyhaven, this two-day course is the perfect introduction to dinghy sailing. With our friendly, qualified instructors, you’ll learn the fundamentals, build your confidence and get hands-on experience taking the helm.

* RYA Dinghy Level 1
* Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th August
* 9am–5pm both days
* £180 for members

Not a member? No problem! We offer a £30 taster membership, which allows you to join the course.

Pop Up Lunch - Sunday 30th August

We're delighted to welcome back Jayne Rother for another Pop Up Lunch at the Club on Sunday 30th August.

Jayne will be serving her delicious homemade meals from midday until 2.30pm for members and their friends & family.

There's no need to pre-book. Simply come along and place your order at the bar on the day.

Please note: Jayne's Pop Up Lunch will be the only food menu available at the Club on this day. Our usual light menu and children's menu will not be available.
