Just the two games this weekend following the end of the Third XI season and the Second XI bye week.

A huge clash against Fleetwood for the First XI is the feature for Saturday while the Academy travel to Torrisholme on Sunday.

Be sure to get down tomorrow and support our 1's as they aim to get back on the winners list!

The first of the next generation of Lytham Mulligans represented his Under 11 interleague team on Friday.

Oliver scored his first 50 (not out) batting with maturity and sensible shot selection against a very good bowling attack!

Hoping this will be the first of many!!! Well done Oliver 👏🏻

3 wins from 4 at the weekend as the Second XI go back to top of the league with three to play, while the Third XI finish their season in style with a win over Preston on the road.

In the First XI's visit to Euxton, Sahaan Sahaan and Sabbir Patel took three each while Ben Saunders (32) and Stewart Davison (24) were amongst the runs. We unfortunately fell short by just 14 runs.

Overseas Nick Skeen (40) and Alex Yates (39*) guided the Second XI to a competitive 182/5 after George Melling and Tom Hessey got us off to a great start.
It proved to be spin to win as Chris Cartmell and Archie Jackson picked up eight wickets between them to restrict Charnock St James to 131, having been 92/1.

A 109-run Skeen-Jackson partnership was the difference against Preston in the Third XI, with Archie bringing up 54 before Skeen went on to reach 91* at the close of innings.
Chris Cartmell picking up a five-wicket haul in reply, making it 9 for the weekend. Jackson and Skeen with two each.

George Melling was the star in the Academy's win over Wyre, with an unbeaten 65, with Rupert Williams, Lewis Hogg and Thomas Parker all playing well!

Congratulations to Isaac Butterfield, scoring 122 off 90 against Great Eccleston for the Academy on Sunday.

Lytham Cricket Club would like to congratulate Ben Saunders following his 300th game for the Club, and Young gun Archie Jackson on his 100th game.

As a former First XI Captain, a serious competitor and quality team mate, Ben's return to the Club after a few years away from the game has been a welcome one amongst the group.

Archie's cricket has gone from strength to strength, applying his trade in the junior ranks to now being a regular on the 2nd XI team sheet.

Two fantastic milestones. Congrats lads!

A few individual highlights, particularly from our youngsters headline the weekend of cricket.

Isaac Butterfield's impressive form with the bat continues, this week scoring his maiden senior ton with 122 from 90 balls in the Academy's win over Great Eccleston on Sunday.
Andy Parker chipping in with an important 49 as well before his boys did the job with the ball in the second innings.

Michael Robbins came on to clean up against Lancaster for the Third XI, taking 5/37 from his 7 overs to close out the innings before rain reduced play to 31 overs in the chase.

While Whalley and Blackpool proved too strong for our Saturday squads, Our Overseas Nick Skeen's 6/36 away at Mossom lane was the positive to take from the results.
