🏃‍♂️ Inspired by the Great North Run? 🏃‍♀️

If you've spent this morning watching the crowds, the noise and looking forward to those emotional finish line moments on the Tyneside seafront, you're not alone.

There's something about the Great North Run that makes you want to lace up and find a start line of your own 💚

Now, we'll be honest with you... we're not the Great North Run 😄

There's no Red Arrows. There's no 60,000 runners. There's no Tyne Bridge.

What there is, is a cracking 5 mile race starting on a beautiful tree-lined road in Lytham, on a crisp autumn morning, with a proper friendly crowd 🍂

📅 Sunday 18th October 2026
⏰ Junior Mile — 9:00am | ages 4–15 | traffic-free | finishers medal 🏅
⏰ Green Drive Five — 9:30am | accurate 5 mile course | chip timed | Lancashire 5 Mile Road Race Championships 🏆

So if today gives you that itch - the one that says "I could do that" - don't let it fade by Tuesday. Five miles is a brilliant place to start 👊
