The final weekend of the season is here.

Our 1XI welcome Ynystawe for the final home game of the year. With nothing riding on the result, the boys will be looking to finish the season on a high.

The 2XI travel to Margam. While there’s nothing on the game for our boys, Margam are still firmly in the promotion mix, so we’re expecting a competitive afternoon.

The 3XI head to Swansea to take on Swansea & Civil Service, who currently sit bottom of the league, with the aim of ending their season with a strong performance.

We’re just hoping the weather holds off for one final weekend of cricket.

A tough weekend for the club with all three sides suffering defeats, followed by disappointment in Sunday's Intermediate Cup Final.

The 1st XI lost to Pentyrch in a game where we built a solid foundation but couldn't quite capitalise. Thomas Morgan continued his form with the bat, finishing unbeaten on 61*, while 2nd XI skipper Robbie Morris added another valuable 40.

The 2nd XI fell just short in a competitive game against league leaders Landore. After another long afternoon in the field, the boys fought back well with the bat with contributions throughout the order. Ryan Parry top scored with an impressive 64 on his return to the side. What could have been if we'd had him all year.

The 3rd XI were beaten by a strong Porthcawl side. We posted 185 thanks in part to a solid knock from skipper Jeremy Lee, but Porthcawl chased the total down with six wickets to spare.

Sunday brought another tough result as the 2nd XI faced Morriston in the Intermediate Cup Final. Morriston posted a big 176 and we could only manage 113 in reply.

The result wasn't what we wanted, but the 2XI reaching another final is still a huge achievement for the and something the boys should be proud of.

A massive thank you to everyone who made the trip to The Gnoll to support them. It was great to see so many Maesteg faces there giving the boys the support and recognition they deserved.

Despite a difficult weekend, results went our way which means the 1XI are now safe from relegation

GAME DAY – INTERMEDIATE CUP FINAL

Our 2nd XI team to face Morriston 1st XI in today's SWCA Intermediate Cup Final.

12:00 start at The Gnoll.

A huge game for the boys and hopefully we'll see plenty of Maesteg support making the short trip down to Neath.

If you're not heading to The Gnoll, there's still cricket at the club today with our 3rd XI in action from 1:00pm.

The 1st XI travel to Pentyrch for their final away fixture of the year. A few players return to the side this weekend as the boys look to put an end to their recent losing run and finish the season strongly.

The 2nd XI welcome league leaders Landore in their final home fixture of the season. The boys will be looking to carry the momentum from Sunday's semi-final victory into what is a huge weekend for the side.

The 3rd XI welcome Porthcawl on SUNDAY for their final home game of the season. The match will be played at the club and streamed live on our YouTube channel. If you're not making the trip to The Gnoll for the 2nd XI final, we'd appreciate as many people as possible coming down and getting behind the 3rds

Of course, the big one on Sunday sees our 2nd XI face Morriston at The Gnoll in the SWCA Intermediate Cup Final, with a 12:00 start.
We believe Sunday's final will be streamed live on Neath CC's YouTube channel. We'll keep everyone updated and share the link if confirmed.

T20 FINAL

It would be great to see as many people as possible make the short trip down to Neath and get behind the boys.

Weekend Results

Another tough Saturday for the club with both senior sides suffering defeats, but Sunday will hopefully change our recent run of games

The 1st XI came up against a strong Clydach side who are pushing for promotion. A solid half-century from Lloyd Wilkshire and a quickfire 30 from Callum Walters helped us post 191. However, with limited bowling options available this weekend, the total proved short of what was needed as Clydach chased it down in 38 overs.

The 2nd XI unfortunately found themselves bowling first on a rapid outfield against Ynysygerwyn. A superb 174 from Aaron Ace meant the boys spent plenty of time chasing the ball around in the heat, which understandably took its toll with the bat. A quickfire 42 from Nathan Carter helped us pick up 7 points despite the defeat.

Much better news came on Sunday as the 2nd XI faced Dyffryn in the Intermediate Cup Semi-Final. Batting first, we posted 165 thanks to another captain's innings from Robbie Morris (62), before a textbook Jeff Watkin cameo at the end (24* from just 9 balls). Jeff then got us off to the perfect start with the ball, taking two wickets in the opening over. Nathan Carter and Dean Cox backed that up with three wickets apiece as the boys secured the victory and booked their place in the Intermediate Cup Final.
