Our first ever Division 1 game ended in defeat against a very strong Talgarth Town team.

Both teams came out strong and after some quick passing, both found themselves on the scoresheet. Courtney Howells sent in a looping corner, which Demi Hurley met with a clinical header and made the score 1-1.

Livvy Owen played a through ball into space, leaving Kim Joseph-Alexander through one on one with the keeper. Kim slotted it home to make it 2-1 to Llan. A very strong 30 mins from Llan.

The rain made the pitch difficult to play on but the girls dug deep for the rest of the half. Talgarth passed the ball well and scored twice more to make it 2-3 at half time.

Despite all our effort and commitment, the game was taken away from in the second half. The defence put in a real shift, with a strong performance from Izzy Lewis with some last ditch tackles.

Big thanks to Tasha Vincent and Grace Phillips for playing out of position and taking shifts in goal! Both making great saves 💪💪

Not the start we would have wanted for Division 1! But we’ll take a lot of pride from our first half performance and will go again next week! 💚🤍
