We are delighted that Ciaran Gribbin will be playing an acoustic set for us in the St Malachys clubhouse next Friday night (Sep 4th)

As a club, we are very proud that one of our former players, who started gigging locally, went on to become the frontman for the legendary INXS. Ciaran has also collaborated with the likes of Madonna, Snow Patrol and U2. Ciaran will be joined on the night by a number of other Dawson musical stars, such as The Boondoggles, Jordy Shivers, Eimhear Mulholland and maybe one or two other mystery guests. It promises to be a great night, so make sure to book your tickets soon as capacity is limited to 100.

2006 Derry Senior Camogie Champions 🏆⚪️⚫️

20 years ago to the day our Senior Camogie team won the Derry Senior Camogie Champioship ⚪️⚫️

The first in the clubs history, the girls won the impressive final against Lavey.

The final was held up so was played on a dark Tuesday evening in Swatragh, Antrim winners Rossa ready to play the winners in the Ulster Campaign 4 days later.

Final score Castledawson 3- 06 Lavey 2-07

Amazing memories for the girls, management and the club ⚪️⚫️

You will recognise 2 faces still lining out for our Senior Camogie team Sinead Henry (Heaney) and Caoimhe Conway (McCoy).

We remember the late Paddy Henry Snr who sadly passed away in 2008. Paddy managed the team with his 3 sons Paddy Jr, Peter and Chrissy.
