🌟 Member Highlight: Alex 🌟
This week we’re celebrating Alex, who’s just hit a massive milestone in her CrossFit journey! 🙌
Alex has been training with us for two years, and when she first joined, she’d never done CrossFit before. As a mum of two, she openly admits she wasn’t in the best shape when she started — but she did the one thing that beats everything else…
💪 She stayed consistent.
Week in, week out, she showed up, put in the work, and trusted the process.
Fast forward to today — Alex just hit a PB on her clean and jerk! 🎉
But this wasn’t just a PB… her technique was absolutely textbook. From setup ➡️ extension ➡️ catch ➡️ dip and drive — every phase was flawless.
It’s a perfect example of what can be achieved in a relatively short time with patience, persistence, and consistency.
Massive well done, Alex 👏👏 There’s definitely more to come! 🚀

💥 Legion HYROX Prep Crew Spotlight 💥
Big shoutout to our HYROX legends Lizzie, Ali & Billy — all regulars at our Sunday HYROX Prep sessions!
🔥 Lizzie – absolutely smashed her first ever HYROX in Oslo with an incredible 1:12 finish, taking 1st place in her age group! 🙌
A mum of three and a total powerhouse — proving that CrossFit’ers really do HYROX for fun 😂
🔥 Billy – the father of long-time HYROX elite Ali and one of the most inspiring athletes we’ve ever had in class. Just a year ago, Billy couldn’t air squat or lunge, and the thought of competing felt like a fairytale.
But fast forward through countless Sunday sims, endless hard (HARD) yards, and unmatched consistency — and this weekend he competed in HYROX Oslo in the Mixed Doubles category 💪
At 68 years young, he’s shown us all that age is just a number and that the only thing standing between you and greatness is your mindset.
🧠 Don’t focus on what you can’t do — focus on what you can do.
Be like Billy 👏

💪🍕🍻 At Legion CrossFit we train hard — but just as important is the community we build outside of workouts.
Every summer, on the last Friday of the month, we come together for Beer & Pizza Night. Nothing formal, nothing fancy — just our crew hanging out, sharing laughs, and enjoying good food and drinks after a week of graft.
It’s the perfect way to kick off the weekend and celebrate the people who make this place special. ❤️

🚨 Member Spotlight! 🚨
Meet Abbie 💪 – she’s only been doing CrossFit for 3 weeks, and today she smashed a huge milestone.
Today’s workout involved rope climbs – something she’d never tried before. In just 30 minutes, Abbie went from “I’ve never climbed a rope” to reaching the top of the tall rope! 🧗♀️🔥
This is such a massive achievement for someone who once thought they could never do CrossFit in the first place.
This is what it’s all about – showing up, trusting the process, and surprising yourself with what you can do. 🙌

ROW WITH LOU - 1/2/3 August 2025 💥
Our very own legion member rowed an incredible 346km (The length of the River Thames) across 3 days!💥
Lou decided to do this challenge in aid of raising and supporting 2 amazing charities, 2 charities that have a special place in Lou’s heart - these charities are and .

☀️Summer social club ☀️
Nothing beats community and at Legion that’s at the heart of what we offer.
Friday we kicked off our summer social club with pizza 🍕and🍻
Which was a huge success following the challenge.
⭐️Next up we have ‘Row with Lou’⭐️
Where one of our members is taking on the challenge of rowing the distance of the Thames river over 3x days. Equation to approx 9 marathons on the erg 😅 🚣🏻
This will take place at Legion from 1st-3rd August. Please come on down and show your support.
Charities money is being raised for are:
Alzheimer’s association
Asthma and lung UK
Next pizza 🍕 and 🍻 will be Friday 29th August after strength class.
