Hounslow & Whitton vs Bajjar Badshahs Sunday 16 August 2026

Bajjar Badshahs 3rd XI suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Hounslow & Whitton 2nd XI at Whitton Park after the hosts successfully chased down a target of 139 in 20 overs. Bajjar won the toss and elected to bat first, eventually being dismissed for 138 in 24.3 overs.

Bajjar’s innings got off to a difficult start when Ajaz Mureed was dismissed for 0, but Irfan Saleem responded positively, striking 25 from 21 balls, including six boundaries. Mohsin Ali then produced the highest score of the innings with 29 from 28 deliveries, hitting two fours and three sixes as Bajjar attempted to build a competitive total.

Further contributions came from Tanveer Butt, who made 17 from 21 balls, and Zaheer Gujjar, who added 20 from 23 deliveries. However, Bajjar were unable to establish a substantial partnership, with wickets falling regularly throughout the innings.

Extras played a significant role in boosting the total, with Hounslow & Whitton conceding 32 extras, including 22 wides. Bajjar were eventually bowled out for 138 in 24.3 overs. For the hosts, Vince took 3/25, while Bhatia produced an excellent spell of 3/11 from 3.3 overs. Bright also claimed two wickets.

Defending 138, Bajjar needed early wickets, but Hounslow & Whitton made a steady start. Singh scored 35 from 42 balls before being removed by Raja Ahsan, while Titus took control of the chase with an unbeaten 63 from 49 balls, striking five fours and five sixes.

Bajjar managed to pick up three wickets during the chase. Raja Ahsan was the standout bowler, finishing with an economical 1/13 from four overs, including a maiden. Ansar Mahmood took 1/17 from two overs, while Tanveer Butt also claimed a wicket.

However, Titus remained unbeaten and guided Hounslow & Whitton to 142/3 after 20 overs, sealing a comfortable seven-wicket victory. The result earned Hounslow & Whitton 18 league points, while Bajjar Badshahs collected one point.

Despite the defeat, there were encouraging individual performances for the Badshahs, particularly Mohsin Ali’s 29, Irfan Saleem’s attacking 25, and Raja Ahsan’s excellent spell of 1/13. Bajjar will look to regroup and return stronger in their next league fixture.

Bajjar Badshahs vs Hounslow & Whitton Sunday 16 August 2026

Bajjar Badshahs 2nd XI were involved in a thrilling, high-scoring contest against Hounslow & Whitton CC at Claires Court School on Sunday 16 August, with the visitors eventually completing a three-wicket victory. Bajjar won the toss and elected to bat, posting an imposing 281/7 from their 40 overs.

Bajjar’s innings was powered by an excellent 77 from 60 balls by Curran Bains, who struck nine fours and four sixes. Shahrukh Ali provided the early momentum with an attacking 58 from just 34 deliveries, including ten fours and two sixes, while Saqlain Basharat played an important supporting knock of 49 from 64 balls.

After a couple of quick wickets in the middle order, Kamran Asghar produced a superb late cameo, finishing unbeaten on 35 from only 18 balls, with five fours and two sixes. His contribution helped Bajjar push the total beyond 280 and set Hounslow & Whitton a demanding target of 282.

The partnership between Bains and Basharat was particularly important, taking Bajjar from 97/2 to 206/3 before Basharat was dismissed. Bains continued to attack before falling with the score on 254, as Bajjar eventually closed on 281/7.

In reply, Hounslow & Whitton came out with positive intent. Prabhnavjot Singh scored a brisk 34 from 26 balls before Pervez Akhtar removed him, while Rohan Nambiar anchored the chase with a crucial 69 from 75 balls, hitting ten boundaries.

Bajjar continued to pick up wickets and remained in the contest. Pervez Akhtar was the leading wicket-taker with 3/56 from eight overs, while Arslan Aslam produced an excellent spell of 2/30 from eight overs, including a maiden, at an economy rate of just 3.75. Aqib Amjad and Mohammad Ashfaq also claimed a wicket apiece.

However, the visitors kept the required rate under control. Pruthviraj Kand played an important unbeaten innings of 48 from 39 balls, while Jaspreet Mann accelerated the chase with a rapid 35 from 18 balls, including five fours and two sixes.

Despite Bajjar taking seven wickets and applying pressure during the chase, Hounslow & Whitton reached 284/7 in 36.3 overs, completing victory by three wickets with 21 balls remaining.

It was a strong batting display from Bajjar Badshahs, highlighted by Bains’ 77, Shahrukh Ali’s explosive 58 and Kamran Asghar’s late hitting. With the ball, Arslan Aslam’s economical spell and Pervez Akhtar’s three wickets gave Bajjar opportunities, but Hounslow & Whitton ultimately produced the stronger chase to take the points from an entertaining Division 2 encounter.

Bajjar Badshahs vs Reading Tigers

Bajjar Badshahs 1st XI were involved in a run-filled Premier Division encounter against Reading Tigers at Waltham St. Lawrence Cricket Club on Sunday 16 August 2026, with Reading Tigers eventually securing a four-wicket victory after successfully chasing 313.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Bajjar Badshahs produced an excellent batting display, reaching an imposing 312/4 from their 40 overs.

Aatish Anthathi provided an aggressive start, striking 25 from just 14 balls, including four fours and a six. After his dismissal with the score on 46, Najeebullah Rahmanullah joined Chris Marrow and helped build a strong platform. Rahmanullah played positively for 47 from 36 balls, hitting nine boundaries, as the pair took the score to 150.

The standout performance of the innings came from Chris Marrow, who produced a superb century. Marrow compiled 111 from 106 balls, including 12 fours and a six, anchoring the innings while the batters around him maintained an excellent scoring rate.

Ryan Friend then added further momentum with an important 56 from 53 deliveries, including five fours and two sixes. After Friend fell with the score on 248, Raheem Sher continued the attack with an unbeaten 37 from only 23 balls, while Dhairya Patel provided a late flourish with 17 not out from eight deliveries. Their contributions helped Bajjar finish on an impressive 312/4, with 19 extras also contributing to the total.

Defending 313, Bajjar Badshahs made regular breakthroughs but Reading Tigers responded with an equally determined batting performance.

Shetty departed early for 12 and Rees followed for 17, both falling to Ryan Friend. Safi then made 42 from 40 balls, while Ganagabalan also scored 42, helping Reading recover and keep pace with the demanding required rate.

Najeebullah Rahmanullah was particularly effective with the ball and gave Bajjar hope by claiming three wickets. His spell of 8 overs, 3 wickets for 44 runs was the pick of the Bajjar bowling attack, while Ryan Friend finished with 2/66 and Farhan Latif claimed 1/66. Dhairya Patel also bowled an economical spell in the context of such a high-scoring match, conceding only 43 runs from his eight overs.

Reading were reduced to 138/5, leaving the contest finely balanced, but their middle and lower order responded superbly. The scorecard records Hamza Arif making 62 from 57 balls, before Hurraira Arif contributed an unbeaten 75 from 56 deliveries. Soraj Singh then produced a decisive late assault, smashing 45 not out from only 26 balls, including eight fours.

Reading reached 315/6 after 38.3 overs, completing the chase with nine balls remaining and sealing a four-wicket victory.

Despite the defeat, Bajjar Badshahs could take plenty of positives from an outstanding batting performance, particularly captain Chris Marrow’s magnificent century, as well as Najeebullah Rahmanullah’s all-round contribution of 47 with the bat and 3/44 with the ball. On another day, a total of 312 would have been enough, but Reading Tigers produced an exceptional chase to come away with the points from a memorable Premier Division run-fest.

Bajjar Badshahs vs West Reading

Bajjar Badshahs 3rd XI produced a commanding all-round performance at Claires Court School, defeating West Reading 2nd XI by 141 runs to collect 18 points. After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Badshahs piled up an imposing 336 all out from 39 overs before dismissing West Reading for 195.

The Badshahs made their attacking intentions clear from the start. Mohsin Ali struck 24 from just 17 balls, while dashing batter Ajaz Mureed contributed 20 from 14, helping the side reach 53 before the first wicket fell.

The standout innings came from Hussnain Ahmed, who produced a superb 91 from 77 balls, including 13 fours and two sixes. He was brilliantly supported by Adeel Gujjar, whose explosive 52 from only 29 deliveries featured eight fours and a six.

There was no let-up further down the order. Waleed Nawaz made 29 from 26, Zaheer Gujjar hit 27 from 18, and Irfan Saleem added a rapid 32 from 21 balls. Tanveer Butt then finished unbeaten on 21 from just 11 deliveries, helping the Badshahs reach a formidable 336.

Faced with a huge target of 337, West Reading were immediately put on the back foot by an excellent opening spell from the Badshahs.

Mohsin Ali and Adeel Gujjar did the early damage as West Reading slumped to 27 for four. Ali dismissed A Imran and M Jawaad, while Gujjar accounted for F Azeez and A Sapkota.

West Reading attempted to rebuild, with S Khan making 27, I Zaman 29 and M Shakeel 31, but the Badshahs continued to strike at crucial moments.

Tanveer Butt delivered the decisive spell, taking an excellent 3 wickets for just 19 runs from five overs. His wickets helped prevent West Reading from developing the partnerships required to seriously threaten the huge target.

Mohsin Ali finished with impressive figures of 5 overs, 2 maidens, 9 runs and 2 wickets, while Adeel Gujjar also claimed 2 wickets for 34. Sajid Mahmood took a wicket before captain Ansar Mahmood completed the job with 1 wicket without conceding a run, as West Reading were dismissed for 195 in 39.3 overs.

Reading East vs Bajjar Badshahs

Bajjar Badshahs 2nd XI produced an excellent all-round performance to secure an emphatic seven-wicket victory over Reading East CC in the South East Shires Cricket League Division 2. Reading East won the toss and elected to bat, but were dismissed for 156 before the Badshahs completed the chase at 159/3 in just 27.3 overs.

Reading East made a positive start despite losing Wajid Hussain for 6. Wasim Ayub led their resistance with an attacking 48 from 47 balls, including eight fours and a six. Younis Khan contributed 11, T Khan 12 and Yasir Hafeez 17, but Bajjar’s bowlers continued to make regular breakthroughs.

The standout performer with the ball was Aqib Amjad, who claimed an impressive 4/46 from seven overs. He removed Ayub, Hafeez, F Iqbal and S Jaffary as Bajjar took control of the innings.

Arslan Aslam then produced a devastating spell at the end of the innings, taking 3/3 from just 1.4 overs. Shakeel Ahmed, Pervez Akhtar and Muhammad Ashfaq also picked up a wicket each as Reading East were bowled out for 156 in 24.4 overs.

Bajjar’s reply initially got off to a difficult start. Shahrukh Ali fell without scoring, Devansh Bhikhan was dismissed for 4 and Curran Bains made 9 runs, leaving the Badshahs 17/3 and giving Reading East some early hope.

However, that proved to be Reading East’s final success as Idrees Ilyas and Luca Dhugga produced a superb unbeaten partnership to completely turn the contest in Bajjar’s favour.

Idrees played an excellent innings of 61 not out from 61 balls, striking 11 fours, while Luca was even more destructive, finishing unbeaten on 66 from 69 deliveries, with nine fours and three sixes. Together they calmly rebuilt the innings before accelerating to take Bajjar comfortably past the target.

The pair carried Bajjar Badshahs to 159/3 from 27.3 overs, completing a commanding seven-wicket victory and another valuable league win.

Woking XI vs Bajjar Badshahs

Bajjar Badshahs suffered a heartbreaking one-wicket defeat against Woking XI CC in a thrilling Premier Division encounter, with the match going right down to the wire.

Woking won the toss and elected to field, asking the Badshahs to bat first. Bajjar went on to post an imposing 242 all out from 34.4 overs, setting Woking a challenging 243 for victory.

The innings got off to a difficult start with Shayaan Ahmed falling at 13, but Chris Marrow and Abhinandan Saini steadied proceedings and took the score to 76 before Marrow was dismissed. Abhinandan followed at 104, before Aatish Anthathi played the key role in the middle order, helping Bajjar recover and taking the score through to 163 before his dismissal. The lower order continued to contribute, with the final wicket eventually falling at 242.

For Woking, Mohammad Shahid and Mohsin Bashir were the leading bowlers with three wickets apiece, while Zahid Kamran claimed two.

In reply, Woking made an excellent start. Hayder Ali and A***n Mann put together a huge 130-run opening partnership, putting the hosts firmly in control. Bajjar desperately needed a breakthrough and Dhairya Patel provided it by removing Hayder, before the Badshahs began fighting their way back into the contest.

From 187/2, the game changed dramatically. Dhairya struck again, including the crucial wicket of A***n Mann with the score on 202, and Bajjar continued to apply pressure. Woking slipped from 202/3 to 221/8, turning what had looked like a comfortable chase into a tense finish.

Dhairya Patel was the standout bowler for Bajjar, finishing with excellent figures of 3/39 from eight overs. Farhan Latif took 2/45, while Yawar Tariq produced an economical 2/36 from eight overs, including a maiden. Abhinandan Saini and Raheem Sher also picked up a wicket each.

Bajjar continued battling until the very end and claimed Woking’s ninth wicket at 238. However, with just a handful of runs required, Mohammad Shahid and Zahid Kamran managed to get Woking over the line at 244/9 from 37.2 overs, sealing an agonising one-wicket victory.

It was a cruel result for the Badshahs after an outstanding fightback with the ball. From a seemingly commanding position for Woking, Bajjar dragged themselves back into the contest and took the match to the final wicket. Despite leaving empty-handed, the determination shown to keep fighting until the very end was a performance the team can take plenty of positives from.

Winds XI vs Bajjar Badshahs

Bajjar Badshahs 3rd XI and Winds XI produced a remarkable contest as the two sides could not be separated, both finishing on 175 all out. Bajjar Badshahs won the toss and elected to bat, reaching 175 from 29.1 overs before Winds XI were dismissed for exactly the same total in 27.2 overs.

Bajjar Badshahs made a promising start, with Mohsin Ali anchoring the early part of the innings. The Badshahs reached 62 for 2 before a dramatic collapse saw them slump to 65 for 6, with four wickets falling for just three runs.

Tanveer Butt then led an important recovery through the middle order. He helped take the score from 65 for 6 to 124 for 8, while Qamar Rashid (45) and the lower order continued to battle and pushed Bajjar up to a competitive 175.

Winds XI’s Qundeel Abbas (3/59) and Shivam Yadav (3/44) claimed three wickets apiece, while Raghuveer Raghuveer returned an economical 2/11.

Defending 175, the Badshahs made the perfect start as Mohsin Ali removed Aamir Hayyat with the score still on zero before also dismissing Hanan Asif. Winds recovered through Shahzad Amir, but Bajjar continued to strike regularly and reduced their opponents to 104 for 8.

The star with the ball was Qamar Rashid, who delivered an excellent spell of 4 for 31 from seven overs. Mohsin finished with 2/24, including two maidens, while Raja Ehsan took 2/10 from 3.2 overs. Adeel Gujjar and Tanveer Butt also picked up a wicket each.

At 104 for 8, Bajjar appeared firmly in control, but Winds XI refused to surrender. Shahzaib Mazhar and the lower order mounted a determined fightback, taking the score to 149 for 9 and then all the way to 175.

With the scores level, Raja Ehsan bowled Shahzaib Mazhar for the final wicket, bringing an extraordinary match to an end with neither side able to claim victory.

A thrilling game of cricket in which the Badshahs fought hard with both bat and ball. After 20 wickets and 350 runs, the teams finished completely level — a memorable tie and 9 points for Bajjar Badshahs.

Bajjar Badshahs 2nd XI suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Strictly Family CC despite posting a competitive 230/9 from their 40 overs. Strictly Family produced an impressive run chase, reaching 231/3 in just 29.1 overs to secure victory.

Bajjar Badshahs won the toss and elected to bat, but their innings got off to a difficult start. Shahrukh Ali made a brisk 18 from 18 balls before falling with the score on 35, while Kamran Asghar departed shortly afterwards without scoring, leaving Badshahs 37/2.

The innings was steadied by Saqlain Basharat, who produced the standout contribution with a patient 57 from 82 balls, including five boundaries. He received useful support from Curran Bains (29) and Luca Dhugga (34) as Badshahs rebuilt through the middle overs. Qamer Ali then added an important 29 from 31 balls, hitting four fours and a six.

Some late fireworks helped push the total beyond 200. Pervez Akhtar smashed 14 from just six deliveries, while Ahmed Zaman struck 11 from only three balls, with both hitting a four and a six. Badshahs eventually finished on 230/9, aided by 26 extras.

Defending 231, Badshahs needed early wickets, but Strictly Family’s batters took control of the chase. Arslan Butt made a rapid 21 from 15 balls before Qamer Ali removed him, but Faheem Qureshi’s 50 from 47 balls kept the scoreboard moving.

The decisive innings came from Zeeshan Butt, who remained unbeaten on a superb 89 from 73 balls, striking 14 fours. He was joined by Ali Ahmed, whose aggressive 57 from only 34 deliveries, featuring nine fours and a six, effectively put the contest beyond Badshahs.

Badshahs managed three wickets, with Qamer Ali (1/43), Ahmed Zaman (1/63) and Aamir Asghar (1/24) claiming one apiece. Arslan Aslam was the most economical of the frontline bowlers, conceding just 37 from his eight overs, including a maiden.

Strictly Family eventually reached 231/3 after 29.1 overs, completing a commanding seven-wicket victory.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Badshahs posted 218 before being dismissed in 38.2 overs, but Kinara’s aggressive batting display made light work of the target.

Badshahs made a positive start thanks to an explosive innings from Aatish Anthathi, who smashed 58 from just 29 balls, including five fours and five sixes. Captain Chris Marrow anchored the innings with a composed 49, while Raheem Sher added a useful 25 and Harshad Chelwani struck a late 21 to push the total beyond 200. However, regular wickets prevented the innings from building the substantial score it promised, with the side losing its final seven wickets for just 102 runs.

Kinara shared the wickets around effectively, with Sulaiman Akhtar leading the attack with 3 for 20, while Naveed Akhtar and Zain Ishaq both claimed two wickets apiece to halt the Badshahs’ momentum.

In reply, Kinara launched an aggressive chase from the outset. Yaqoot Rafiq blasted 57 from only 28 deliveries, before Rahim Akhtar (51) and Praduman Singh (42) maintained the pressure. Any hopes of a Badshahs comeback were ended by Nabeel Janed, whose unbeaten 52 from 25 balls guided the visitors comfortably to 220/4 in just 25.1 overs.

There were a few bright moments with the ball for Bajjar Badshahs, as Najeebullah Rahmanullah returned 2 for 33, while Farhan Latif and Moteeb Syed picked up one wicket each. Despite those efforts, Kinara’s batting proved too powerful, scoring at nearly nine runs per over throughout the chase.

The defeat leaves Bajjar Badshahs reflecting on missed opportunities with both bat and ball. A strong start with the bat was not converted into a match-winning total, and Kinara’s fearless approach in the chase ensured they claimed maximum points with a commanding six-wicket victory.

Having won the toss and elected to field, the Badshahs produced a disciplined bowling display before surviving a tense chase.

Slough Warriors never managed to build a substantial partnership despite a positive start from M Hussain (24) and useful contributions from M Shahid (22), Z Abbas (18) and A Farooq (16*). Bajjar’s bowlers kept striking at regular intervals, preventing the visitors from gaining momentum.

Adeel Gujjar was the standout performer with the ball again, claiming 4 wickets for 40 runs from his eight overs. The turning point came through an excellent partnership between Tanveer Butt, who played a fluent knock of 36 from 29 balls, striking four fours and three sixes, and Ansar Mahmood, whose unbeaten 24 from 73 balls provided the calm and composure needed to anchor the chase. Their partnership lifted Bajjar from early trouble and brought the target within reach.

Although Bajjar lost wickets late to create a tense finish, Ansar Mahmood held his nerve, remaining unbeaten to guide the Badshahs home at 144-8 with just two wickets to spare after 27.1 overs. An extraordinary 43 extras also proved significant in helping the hosts over the line.

The victory showcased Bajjar Badshahs’ fighting spirit, overcoming an early batting collapse through sensible batting under pressure and a match-winning all-round performance from Tanveer Butt. The win keeps the Badshahs’ momentum rolling as they continue their Division 5A campaign.
