Maidenhead Rowing Club

Any club members aged 18-30 fancy being in a film about rowing, directed by George Clooney?

This is for the film 'Boys In The Boat', based on the book of the same name which tells the story of a University of Washington crew who won a gold medal at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

The Casting Collective is a company that sources extras for film and TV projects. They are looking for experienced rowers, aged 18-30 in London and Bristol, to film the Olympic rowing race scenes.

Scroll down the 'Urgent Casting Calls' page to find the bit about rowers:
Some shorts from the regatta!
Maidenhead would currently be joint TWELFTH in the Olympics medal table! 🤯

After swimmer Tom Dean's 2nd gold and rower Jack Beaumont's silver overnight, the town find themselves level with Hungary 🇭🇺

We've decided to fix the table, see below 😉

The Big Row is the new annual fundraiser for Love Rowing, helping to share the incredible benefits of rowing to wider and more diverse groups around the UK. As one giant rowing crew, we’re going to be trying to row from London to Tokyo and then back to Paris - a whopping 19,271 km in total - on the water or on an indoor rowing machine.

Please follow our group to get involved and find out more.
Where do GB rowing champions draw their inspiration and intense desire to succeed from?

How were they able to turn around the occasional failure and disappointment and use it as a positive learning experience, in life as well as rowing?

How does rowing shape us as people? Hear direct from GB champions what rowing has taught them about relationships, change and perspective.

Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to listen to this live online discussion, between GB rowing champions Cath Bishop, Frances Houghton and Naomi Riches, chaired by Annamarie Phelps.
