This is for the film 'Boys In The Boat', based on the book of the same name which tells the story of a University of Washington crew who won a gold medal at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
The Casting Collective is a company that sources extras for film and TV projects. They are looking for experienced rowers, aged 18-30 in London and Bristol, to film the Olympic rowing race scenes.

The Big Row is the new annual fundraiser for Love Rowing, helping to share the incredible benefits of rowing to wider and more diverse groups around the UK. As one giant rowing crew, we’re going to be trying to row from London to Tokyo and then back to Paris - a whopping 19,271 km in total - on the water or on an indoor rowing machine.

This weekend there will be lots of action down at Maidenhead Riverside! On Saturday it's the Maidenhead Rowing Club Regatta with racing to start at 8.30am and on Sunday it's the Thames Punting Club Championships with racing between 10am and 4.30pm - spectators areas on both days are on the Bucks side of the river just downstream of Brunel’s famous railway bridge.

The first five days of The Big Row are done! Here are our highlights 💖
The Big Row launched at BUCS, where we challenged students to a 100m sprint challenge to kick things off. Thank you to everyone who came to see Love Rowing!
In just 5 days, we have teams smashing those kilometres. Here is our leaderboard:

Next Sunday is the annual Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge raced on the Tideway from Putney to Chiswick since 1856 (first raced in 1829) for the men and 2015 (held annually at Henley since1964 but first raced in 1927) for the Women.
Members join us to enjoy one of the oldest rowing events in the World together at Maidenhead Rowing Club next Sunday.
Bar opens at 1pm

We are inspired everyday and wanted to celebrate all the inspirational women in our rowing community…
Val Coleman, 93 years old is a rower at and is the World Champion and holder of four world records!
Kate Lindgren, member of has found a new sense of freedom and independence as a blind rower. She will be completing a 12 hour Rowathon in May.
Julia Rzadkowska, started rowing at 11 years old, over the past 6 years has put a lot of time and effort into the sport. She says “As a rower in The GORSE Boat Club I love working hard and try as much as I can to push myself to the limit and get the best results I can, especially in races”.
Judith Packer, “My proudest moment in rowing was most definitely umpiring the 75th Women’s Boat Race at Ely, almost a year ago now”.
A special thank you to Judith for all her continued support of Love Rowing.
