🏆 CHAMPS 2026… What a weekend! 🏆

What a weekend it has been! ❤️💙

The Barkshire Bandits and Barkshire Bullets have both battled their way through some incredibly close racing at Champs, and we’re delighted to say that both teams finished 3rd in their respective divisions! 🥉🥉

There were some seriously exciting races, nail-biting moments, plenty of cheering from the sidelines and, most importantly, a whole lot of teamwork. 🐾🏁

But this weekend was also a very special one for one of our four-legged teammates…

Champs marked the end of an incredible flyball career for Tito, as he officially retired from racing.

Tito has given us so many fantastic memories over the years, and it was only fitting that we got to celebrate his retirement surrounded by his teammates and the flyball family.

Thank you, Tito, for everything you’ve given to the Bandits. 🐾❤️

You’ve earned your retirement now — time to put your paws up, enjoy your treats and let everyone else do the running! 🥰

🐾🏆 Championship Weekend has begun! 🏆🐾

The Barkshire Bandits have arrived at the British Flyball Association UK Championships, and we’re all set for an incredible weekend of racing! 🎾🐶

Tomorrow is Time Trials, where every run counts as we aim to secure the best possible seeding for the racing ahead.

The dogs are ready, the team is excited, and we can’t wait to get out on the lanes alongside the best Flyball teams in the UK.

A huge good luck to everyone competing this weekend. Here’s to fast times, clean passes, and an unforgettable Championships! 💙❤️

🐾 A huge thank you to the Jets Flyball Team for hosting another fantastic tournament this weekend! 💙❤️

We had a brilliant day of racing, with plenty of close heats, lots of laughs and, as always, great company.

A massive well done to the Bullets, who raced brilliantly to finish 🥈 2nd in their division – a fantastic result and one the whole team should be proud of!

Our top team may not have made the podium this time, but they gained invaluable racing experience, tried new combinations and continued to build confidence as a team. Every race is another step forward, and we're excited to see that progress continue.

With that, our preparations are complete and all eyes are now on the BFA UK Championships next month. We can't wait to represent Barkshire Bandits on the national stage and give it everything we've got!

🤠🐾 We're Heading to the BFA UK Championships! 🐾🤠

The Barkshire Bandits are officially entered into the British Flyball Association UK Championships this August in Uttoxeter!

We'll be taking 2 teams to compete against some of the best flyball teams in the country, and we honestly can't wait. Whether we're racing down the lanes, cheering each other on, or catching up with friends old and new, the Championships are always one of the highlights of the flyball calendar.

Good luck to everyone entering—we'll see you in Uttoxeter!

🐾 What a day for the Barkshire Bandits! 🐾

An incredible day of Flyball at Lydiard Park this weekend. From the first race to the final heat, both of our teams gave it everything, and we’re thrilled with the results…

🥇 Bandits stormed their way to 1st Place!
🥉 Bullets put in a fantastic performance to secure 3rd Place!

We’re so proud of every dog, handler, box loader and supporter who helped make the day such a success.

A huge thank you to Odyssey Flyball Club for hosting such a brilliantly organised event. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and despite the temperatures climbing later in the day, the racing kept going and the event was completed without a hitch.

Congratulations to all the teams who competed, it was great to see so many fantastic races and to catch up with the Flyball community.

☀️🐾 What a day at Ansty Park yesterday!

Firstly, a huge thank you to Ivan Offord and the Kennet Flyball Club for hosting such a fantastic event. The temperatures were certainly challenging, and whilst the afternoon racing was understandably suspended due to the heat, we still had an amazing day with our flyball family.

We're incredibly proud of both the Bandits and Bullets finishing in a brilliant 4th place! 💙❤️

The highlight of the day, however, was celebrating two very special achievements from our Young Handlers:

🏆 Jasper received his Platinum Award for reaching an incredible 500 points – an outstanding achievement and a testament to all of his hard work and dedication.

🏆 Grayson received his Silver Award for receiving 100 Points – a fantastic milestone and the first of many to come!

A huge well done to all of our dogs, handlers, box loaders, and supporters who kept smiling despite the heat. Days like these remind us that flyball is about so much more than racing – it's about teamwork, friendship, and celebrating each other's successes.

Thank you again to Kennet Flyball Club, and congratulations to everyone who competed. We can't wait for the next one! 🐶🐾

☀️ No Training Tonight! ☀️

With the temperatures remaining high, we've made the decision not to train this evening.

As much as our dogs love Flyball, their welfare always comes first. The safety and wellbeing of our four-legged teammates is far more important than getting another training session in.

Instead, we'll be keeping cool, enjoying some rest, and looking forward to getting back on the lanes when the weather is kinder.

Please look after yourselves and your dogs during this heatwave.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

🚫 Avoid walking dogs during the hottest part of the day

💧 Always carry water for you and your dog

🌳 Stick to shady routes

🐾 Hot pavements can burn paws – if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws

❄️ Keep dogs cool – never leave them in a car, even for a minute
