Merry Chrismas and Happy New year 🎉

Life has got a way with me the last few years, I'm just so busy looking after the kids and eating cake, I haven't updated social media in over a year 😱 Sorry about that!

Just popping on to say HELLO and I am still here plodding along doing the odd bit of fitness work. I'm currently not teaching any regular classes but doing some PT and private work here and there. If there is anything I can help you with, let me know 🙂

Over the last year I have had another baby, which was another C-section. I had another fairly big baby but my bump was HUGE. I have been left with about 2-3cm diastasis recti (ab seperation gap) which is currently being covered with baggy jumpers. I need some motivation to do my physio work to help close the gap!

I have also spent the last year building car/train tracks, running after my dare devil son on his bike, being jumped on, making food that doesn't get eaten, baking cakes that DO get eaten, carrying around a baby so she doesn't get stood on, putting bows in the babies hair that get pulled off 10 seconds later and actually really loving being a Mum.

I hope everyone else has had a really great year and I hope to catch up with you soon. 🤩

Hello everyone!

I have had a few messages recently about starting up Zumba classes, unfortunately I don't have any plans for this right now.

But those that joined me online during the first lockdown took part in live videos on YouTube. I still have the links to those videos if anyone would like them? I know its not the same, but some of you may appreciate it! Send me a message if you want them 🙂

I am still over here doing bits and peices. Personal Training, Fitness sessions in a hospital, seated exercise in a nursing home and the odd bit of cover every now and then 🙂

Inbetween my work, I am chasing Troy around and getting a bit chubby 🐷 It's actually quite nice to have a break, although I am probably more exhausted than I used to be, I am not doing half as much exercise as I used to. Before covid/pregnancy some days i would teach 10 hours of fitness/dance in one day, most weeks would be about 35hrs PLUS my own workouts. Madness! Not sure I could go back to that right now 🙊 I have replaced Latin music and heavy beat aerobics music with nursery rhymes, and right now I am.happy with that ! 😀

🔸️There are so many different ways to exercise🔸️

🔹️Do you find the equipment in this picture this daunting? 😱

Equipment in the gym can look complicated but it's actually very simple 👌

🟧Lifting weights has SOOOO many benefits and is my number 1 thing to go to with any muscle aches or pains, fitness goals, mental health, physical health, enjoyment. Also I LOVE lifting heavy 💪

BUT

I also rate WALKING 🚶‍♀️ very highly!

🟣Cardio also has SOOOO many benefits. Fitness, fat loss, mental health, physical health and so many more.

🔵There are also many different ways to exercise that don't feel like you are exercise, dancing, playing sport, active jobs, house work, dog walking and so many more.

🟩I personally mix all of the above into my week. It keeps its interesting and I enjoy it all. I walk, play netball, do home workouts and also go to the gym.

Some weeks.... I don't do any of it! 🙈

⭐This is just a post to remind you that there are MANY different ways to exercise and if you have got bored, lost motivation or unsure where to start, just remember there are so many options, sometimes you just need to think outside the box or try some thing new 😀

⭐️Home HIIT workout!⭐️

30 seconds of each exercise
30 seconds rest in-between each exercise

Blue = Beginners
Orange = Intermediate
(Choose the exercise that suits you best, but remember it needs to feel HARD)

🔹Walking up and down the stairs
🔸 Running up and down the stairs

🔹Squats
🔸Squat jumps

🔹Touch the floor and reach up
🔸 Burpees

🔹Half star jumps/ Star jumps
🔸 Explosive Star jumps (Big star in the air, land in squat)

🔹Wall / Knee Press ups
🔸Press ups with a shoulder tap

🔹Sit down on a chair and stand up
🔸Lay on the floor (on your back) and stand up

Repeat for 1-4 rounds (Or more if you can!)

〰️ Dont forget to do a warm up before you exercise and a stretch after.

〰️ If you are doing this workout before breakfast, just be aware you may feel sick/dizzy, so have a snack near by.

〰️ Drink water throughout

〰️ Try and not sit down in your 30 seconds rest... it makes it much harder to start again!

Today I did a gym workout, but I will also post a home alternative below!

🔵Gym workout 🔵

🟩Leg press - 3 sets HEAVY

🟩Lat pull down
Walking lunges
Lat pull down
Jumping squats
Lat pull down
Jumping lunges

🟩TRX row
Russian twists
3 sets

🟡Home workout 🟡

🟪Squats (3 sets of 20)

🟪40 walking lunges
20 Jumping squats
20 Jumping lunges

🟪Single arm row (dumbells or something weighted) 3 sets of 10

🟪20 Russian twists (3 sets)

🟩Troy has officially been out the same amount of time he was in 😱

🔵While I was pregnant I was pretty confident I would be back to my fit lean body... HA HA... with the c section recovery and a HUGE appetite the first few months could have gone better 🐷

🟡I am not exercising as much as I had hoped but I am managing a few gym sessions and lots of walking. So if anyone would like a walk around mote park, drop me a message, I would love to see you!

🔴Work wise, I am only doing some early morning Personal training sessions. If you are interested, then send me a message and I will get you booked in.

🟪I am off on holiday soon, but when I return I I going to be doing lots of home workouts leading up to Christmas.

Hello everyone !

Just a quick update....

I am aware that exercise classes are able to resume from today. However, I am loving Mum life and I am still on Maternity leave. 🤱🏼

Some of my planned original cover can no longer help out and I with things going back to normal and instructors not knowing what work they have, I am finding it difficult to find cover for my classes.

Please bare with me a little while longer until I have a clearer plan of the future.

This is me 😂 Maybe age 7?... I thought i would share it with you to maybe make you smile or laugh..... its very similar to the face i am pulling for all my fellow class instructors out there!

I am sorry to say that with the new Tier system that has been introduced that indoor classes cannot run in Tier 2 or 3. Even in Tier 1 we are restricted to 6 people and with the hall hire costs this most probably won't be viable.

I guess you are all having an extended break with me ! Lucky you... apart from i get something really magical in my break! ♥️⭐️

If anything changes in January, please contact the covering instructors and they will update you on their plan for the return of classes. If you have not received an email with their details please let me know and i will pass them on to you.

Remember gyms are open, so if you are a member PLEASE support the gyms. They have had very little / no help through all of this.

If you are interested in Personal Training please let me know, as Ed can offer online and gym workouts (our home gym) 💪

Also please support instructors that are doing online classes 🙏

Here is a throw back to waaaaay before Covid! 😷
Watching this made my heart almost stop! The panic of seeing people being close and so many in a small room! 😱 Oh how things have changed!

Hopeing that fitness classes will be able to return back this way in the near future. It's community and team work that makes classes like these so enjoyable 😀
