The appreciation didn’t stop on Friday…💙

We celebrated Lifeguard Appreciation Day on Friday, but since then we’ve been absolutely inundated with messages from our members - and especially from our younger swimmers - telling our lifeguards just how much they mean to them. Our appreciation boards ended up completely covered 🥹

So rather than take the messages down, we’ve moved every single one into our lifeguard staff room, where the team will see them whenever they take a break.

Lifeguarding can sometimes look like simply watching a pool. In reality, these are the people who keep our swimmers safe, reassure nervous children, respond when something goes wrong and quietly look after thousands of people every week.

To everyone who took the time to leave a message - thank you. ❤️
