🏉 Big News from Maidstone Women’s Rugby! 🏉

We’re excited to introduce the leadership team guiding us into a brand‑new season:

👔 Team Manager – Chloe
After two incredible seasons as captain, Chloe is stepping off the pitch for a short while but staying firmly at the heart of the team. Her experience, vision, and passion for the game make her the perfect person to lead us forward as Manager. We’re thrilled to have her steering this next chapter.

🛡️ Captain – Danni
A standout player with unwavering commitment, Danni leads by example in everything she does. Her resilience, drive, and team‑first attitude make her the ideal captain to set the tone on and off the pitch.

⚡ Vice-Captain – Jodie
Bringing energy, determination, and a clear ambition to push the team forward, Jodie is a natural motivator. She’s ready to support the team, step up when needed, and bring strength in every sense.

This isn’t just a leadership group, it’s the foundation for a powerful season ahead. Let’s get behind them and make it one to remember.

Match Report
Maidstone travelled to Cranbrook on a hot and sunny day with only 11 players, but you wouldn’t have known it from the effort on the pitch. The scoreline may not have gone our way, yet the heart, resilience, and determination shown by every player was outstanding. The team battled right to the final whistle, never backed down, and finished with smiles all round. The development within the team is clear to see, and once again rugby was the real winner. Well done to all the for a fantastic win, you were a tough but enjoyable opponent as always.

A double award went to , who was named both Forward of the Match and the Opposition’s Player of the Match for her determination and outstanding performance. Still new to the game, she put in a huge shift and continues to grow every match and training session.

Tries came from and , with Cristina scoring her first ever try. We are incredibly proud of her, she’s been getting closer each week, and her confidence is glowing.

Match Report: Maidstone Women

Maidstone Women put in a determined performance despite a 48–5 result.

The first half proved challenging, with the opposition building early momentum and capitalising on their opportunities to take a 36–0 lead going into the break. However, Maidstone showed real resilience in the second half, refusing to let the scoreline define their effort and continuing to fight for every phase.

The team came out after half time with renewed determination, tightening up defensively and continuing to support one another across the pitch. Their persistence was rewarded with a well-earned try from Hannah, reflecting the team’s commitment to keep pushing until the final whistle.

Back of the Match was awarded to Shannon for an outstanding performance and her continued impact throughout the game. A special mention also goes to Chloe Tyler, who was right on her heels for the award and delivered a fantastic, hard‑working performance that absolutely did not go unnoticed.

Forward of the Match went to Jodie for her incredible defensive work, putting in countless tackles and seemingly being everywhere across the pitch when the team needed her most.

The opposition awarded Player of the Match to Jeanie, recognising how her tactical kicking disrupted their play and helped keep Maidstone competing for territory throughout the match.

Well done to Mollie on her debut game! Great to see you in red and black showing a great first performance! 👏🏻

A special thank you also goes to Sittingbourne for their continued support and contribution to the squad.

Although the result did not go Maidstone’s way, the determination shown in the second half demonstrated the team’s resilience and character, with plenty of positives to take forward. 🏉💪
