In the misty hills of Nepal, a young boy named Waiba devoted his life to 極真空手 (Kyokushin Karate). But Waiba trained for more than strength—he believed that true power could change the world, not through fighting alone, but through understanding, respect, and peace.
Every day, he practiced his kicks and punches under the rising sun, yet he also spent time helping villagers, teaching children, and resolving disputes with calm words rather than fists. Slowly, the spirit of ワイバ極真空手 began to spread.
When Waiba traveled to international tournaments, he carried a different message. After intense matches, he would bow not only to opponents but to entire communities, saying:
“極真 — the ultimate truth is peace in strength.”
People who met him felt inspired. They began teaching kindness alongside discipline, showing that the same focus that hones a punch can also sharpen the mind toward compassion. Stories of Waiba’s deeds traveled far, spreading like wildfire: villages in Japan, schools in Europe, and cities across the globe began adopting his way—training hard, living honorably, and choosing peace.
Years later, Waiba returned to his mountain home. Children from every nation ran up the trails, practicing kicks and punches, laughing and learning together. Waiba smiled, realizing that the true victory of ワイバ極真空手 was not a trophy, but a world united by courage, respect, and harmony.
And so, like an infectious wave of light, the spirit of ワイバ極真空手 moved across continents—teaching everyone that strength is greatest when it serves peace, and that one person’s dedication can spark a global movement.

The legendary Sosai Mas Oyama on what would be his 101st birthday (June 4th by the old Japanese calendar). As the founder of Kyokushin Karate and the Kyokushinkaikan organization, his legacy continues to inspire and empower millions of practitioners worldwide.
Mas Oyama's vision gave birth to Kyokushin, a karate style renowned for its rigorous training, full-contact sparring, and indomitable spirit. His teachings have forged strong, disciplined, and resilient martial artists who embody the essence of Bushido.
From intense physical conditioning to mastering powerful techniques, Kyokushin practitioners push their limits, embracing the mantra "OSU" – a symbol of perseverance and respect. Oyama's emphasis on character development, respect, and mental fortitude resonates through dojos around the globe.
The Kyokushinkaikan organization, established by Sosai Oyama, united karatekas, fostered a community dedicated to personal growth, mutual respect, and the pursuit of excellence. His contributions have transcended cultural and geographical boundaries, making Kyokushin a universal language of strength and humility.
As an instructor in Kyokushin Karate, I feel deep gratitude for Sosai Mas Oyama's teachings, which remain profoundly relevant today. His legacy continues to guide and inspire me.
