Solar Flyball - Essex

25/09/2026

Wishing the team the best of luck tomorrow 🍀

⭐ GOOD LUCK, SOUTHERN FUSION! ⭐

This weekend, four teams come together as one.

💛 Shooting Stars Flyball Team
❤️ Jets Flyball Team
💜 Ball Busters Flyball Team
💙 Solar Flyball - Essex

Different clubs. Different colours. Different journeys.

But for this qualifier, they become Southern Fusion — one team, one goal, and one shared ambition: Crufts.

That is what makes this so special.

Young handlers from four different teams are stepping into the ring together, supporting each other, trusting their dogs, and showing exactly what flyball is really about — teamwork, friendship, confidence and opportunity.

To everyone representing Southern Fusion: enjoy every second of it. Run hard, back each other, trust your dogs and be proud of how far you have already come.

This is your first Young Kennel Club Crufts qualifier, show everyone what Southern Fusion can do.

We’re all behind you. 💜💛❤️💙

Some more fun that was had at champs! 🥰

Wow what a fantastic had! With Division 15 win, 3rd place Division 23 with close racing! 4th place in Division 38 which again is amazing as unfortunately we were down to 4 dogs as had a poorly dog and a young dog who found champs a little over whelming! So the oldies all did brilliantly well! Ran by handlers who are new to competing! All doing brilliantly well!
Thank you to committee, judges, head judges, everyone who set up champs, did the paperwork etc… we really appreciate everything you do and did to make the championship a memorable one!
Our members had a brilliant time completing their packs, running dogs together in future Friday, Leighton also box loaded for the first time! Freya box loaded for our bottom team handled the pressure like a pro! Thank to Jeff for coming up to speak to her and letting her know you do the points and what a great job she is doing ! It meant a lot to her! ❤️ well done to each and every member of the team who all worked together! What a great few days! Roll on next year !

Last, but not least, we have our young handlers competing in pairs at the BFA Championships on Friday. Leighton is new to running a dog and has been doing really well running Yoki at training and Freya is a seasoned flyballer, growing up in the sport and competing for the last few years.

Competing in foundations at the BFA Championships we have Solar Sunbeams joined by our friends from Underdogs. These youngsters have been training hard and showing lots of promise.
