Calling all women 💪

Do you have a fitness goal you’ve been putting off? Or are you ready to build real strength and stamina in a space that actually feels like yours?
I’m opening up 6 spots for a small, women-only strength training club. Just one weekly session at Westonbirt Leisure, for 10 weeks — enough time to genuinely feel the difference, not just talk about it.

Small group. No judgement. Just steady progress and people in your corner.
Spaces are limited to 6 to keep it personal and to watch each other move — closing date 3rd September 2026.

🎶 Three of these kids belong together; three of these kids are kind of the same... but one of these kids is doing his own thing. Now it's time to play our game. It's time to play our game. 🎶

When it comes to movement, there isn't a wrong way to move; rather, the only wrong thing is not moving. I love this picture!

Movement for Everyone is not a yoga class. We work on moving joints in the best and most functional way, through a series of movements with awareness to muscle engagement and its benefits. Some of these require active movement, but others call for a passive stretch, like this one.

It's important to incorporate both active and passive ranges of motion into your mobility practice. Active movement works our muscles in a strong, functional way, while passive stretching relaxes and calms the nervous system as we explore deeper ranges of motion. Together, they work hand in hand when it comes to the strength and longevity of our muscles and joints.

We’ve heard your feedback 🗣️, and we’ll be extending our post-exercise relaxation time. I want to stress how important it is to recognise that everyone comes to class with their own needs and stories—yet we all face life’s pressures in some way. No matter what you’re carrying, stress is a shared experience, and you’re not alone. As a wellness professional, my commitment is to create a space where you feel cared for, supported and leave each class feeling stronger and truly valued. 😊

🦶 Next Two Weeks: We're Getting Back to Basics — Your Feet
Over the next two weeks, our sessions are going to have a strong focus on something that often gets overlooked in movement training — the feet.

It might not sound glamorous, but here's the truth: your feet are the foundation of everything. Every step, every squat, every lunge, every jump, every turn — it all begins at the point where your body meets the ground. If that foundation isn't functioning well, the rest of the body has to compensate, and over time those compensations show up as tightness, imbalance, or pain elsewhere in the body.

So why do we neglect them so much?
Most of us spend hours in shoes that restrict natural foot movement, walking on flat, even surfaces, rarely asking our feet to do anything more than carry us from A to B. The result? Stiff, underactive feet that struggle to support us through the full range of movement our bodies are actually capable of.

What we'll be working on:
Over the coming two weeks, we'll be exploring mobility and strengthening exercises specifically designed to wake up and restore healthy foot function. Think toe articulation, ankle mobility, arch activation, and how good foot mechanics travel up through the ankle, knee, hip and beyond.

What you can expect to notice:
Greater stability and balance, improved posture, more efficient movement patterns, and, for many people, a real reduction in niggles that have been showing up in the knees, hips, or lower back.
Your feet have 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments. They deserve some dedicated attention.
Come ready to take your shoes off and get curious about how you move from the ground up. 👟➡️🦶

:: Fuelling Your Summer Body the Smart Way ::

If your goal is to lose weight or build a healthier physique ahead of summer, here's the most important thing to know: it's not about eating less — it's about eating right.

One of the biggest game-changers? Prioritising protein. For most women, aiming for around 100g of protein per day is a great starting point, though your ideal intake may vary depending on your specific goals.

Here's something that surprises most people: hitting 100g of protein requires you to EAT! The graphic shows you two examples of sources that hit those protein goals. And do you want to know what's interesting? That entire amount comes in at under 1,000 calories. That leaves room to pair your protein with fibre, complex carbs, and yes, even the treats you love.

The secret is simple: prep your protein ahead of time. Spend a little time at the start of your day (or week!) portioning out your protein sources, then spread them throughout the day. Build the rest of your meals around them, topping up with whatever foods bring you joy.

Weight loss doesn't have to mean deprivation — it just means being a little more intentional. You've got this! 💪
