A wonderful opportunity to celebrate community. The Malvern Hills District Connected Communities Celebration on Friday was a chance to celebrate the contributions of individuals, teams and businesses that have made such a positive impact on their communities and were nominated in the recent Malvern Hills District Council recognition scheme.
Huge thanks to 'Take Heart' for making a stone for everyone in attendance. Such a wonderful treat. Thanks also to Severn Arts for the fabulous art display, from local young people and for organising the superb poetry reading by Iona Campbell, the 2024 Worcs Young Poet Laureate.

A fantastic day of visits to just some of the incredible food projects in Malvern, as part of our Food Action Network work.
First up was the Community pantry at The Octagon Community Centre followed by the Refresh Community Cafe at St Mary's Pickersleigh
We then headed over to Malvern Green Space community lunch session at Rodway Hall before ending with a quick visit to the slow cooker project at Malvern Link with Cowleigh which is run by one of our CB team, Sarah.
If you run a food project and would like more info on our Food Action Network, please email the district council at [email protected]

We hope to see our fellow Community Workers there. A rare chance to catch-up with each other.
⭐ Free Community Collective Lunchtime Drop-in for community workers ⭐
The next lunchtime get together for local community workers will take place on Thursday 27 March, 12 – 1.30pm, in the café space at the Eden Centre.
The aim of the Collective is to develop a supported network of people, who are well informed about local services and support in their area, helping them to better signpost people to the services they need.
We all have great community success stories to share, we all face challenges, and we want to offer that space to come together and connect for the benefit of our communities.
Email [email protected] for more information.
If you’d like to attend, book a space here: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/mhdc/t-gakzjkn
