Good morning everyone! I've got some important news on Choice Rigs so please read on 🙏
We've heard several rumours about us closing, this isn't happening but we have moved to our sister site Rig Locker.
I've always run this business openly and honestly and been totally upfront about reasons behind significant changes to the business with you, our loyal customers.
In short Choice Rigs is a difficult one to manage. We run a fine balance between being impossibly busy and having just about enough time to manage orders. This is why we moved to a 4 day a week service. Tying and sending literally thousands of rigs a month is not easy, and over the best part of 20 years it's taken its toll on both myself and Zoe.
Another thing that isn't easy is operating by the book and completely above board. I won't bore you with politics, but I'm sure a lot of self employed people will understand how tough things are, especially in the fishing industry.
The reality is it's financially and actually emotionally too hard to have 2 separate business so we've merged with www.riglocker.co.uk as of today. We are confident this is the right thing to do for you, and us as everything will be easier to manage.
We've been working hard to merge over the last 3 or 4 days and I can now tell you that all the rigs are already live on Rig Locker ( I think as it stands it's just booms that need to go up). It may well still be a limited service probably 4 days a week but we're going to try and keep the rigs available full time and see how it goes.
Lastly, and absolutely most importantly both myself and Zoe would like to thank you whole heartedly for your unbelievable support. We're privileged to have so many loyal customers that have stuck with us through all the changes... It honestly makes everything we do worth while and we owe it to you to keep finding ways to keep Choice Rigs alive and well.
On that note, a massive thank you to those who send the catch reports.. Unfortunately we simply can't publish on social media because we become too busy too quickly but please keep sending them as we love to see them!
