I understand that Court Road is closed for 4 weeks from tonight. It is just the short run by the old Fountain pub / store but prevents access to Thirlstane Road and hence getting to car park for badminton that way. Think access should be ok coming down St Andrews Road or down Thirlstane Road.

The days are getting longer again, spring is here, and the cricketers will soon be returning to the fields. For us, this means in a few weeks time our club session start time will be moving half an hour earlier again, back to half seven:

Earlier slot starts: Thursday 9th April 2026 19:30 - 21:30

As always happens at this time each year, the cricketers are migrating inside to hibernate for the winter, so our club session has been pushed half an hour later starting next session.

From 13th November onwards, badminton will now run 20:00 - 22:00 on Thursday evenings.

Early warning that we revert to our Winter times of 8-10pm from 13th November 2025.

There will be an Extraordinary General Meeting on 7th August (next Thursday) during the usual badminton session to discuss matters such as:

Increasing yearly fees
Increasing nightly fees
Recording weekly attendance
Methods of payment for nightly fees
Maintaining and increasing club numbers

The Sports hall is being used on the evening of Thursday 3rd July 2025, so, unfortunately, we won't be able to hold the usual Badminton club night that evening.

Seems it is Summer again .... which means that from 10th April 2025 we will be back to a 7.30pm start and 9.30pm finish.

Christmas has been .... and gone! Hopefully a pleasant time for everyone.

Further celebrations, no doubt, fast approach for the end of 2024 / start of 2025.

For those eager to burn off some of those calories and catch up with GMBC friends, we start the new year at 8pm on Thursday, 2nd January 2025.

Christmas arrangements:
As usual, we will play every Thursday the sports centre is open. This year we only miss Boxing Day, 26th December. We return to playing on 2nd January 2025.
