Two men arrested for drug dealing offences

This afternoon officers from Malvern's safer neighbourhood team carried out a number of stop searches in the Pickersleigh and Link areas, following reports of drug dealing.
PC Matt Waite, PC Dave Olczak and PCSO Collette Carpenter carried out 5 stop searches in total.
Two searches resulted from PCSO Rebecca BULLOCK spotting a deal taking place and directing officers to a vehicle involved. PC OLCZAK and PC WAITE then located the vehicle, searched the occupants and arrested them both for being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
The two men have since been bailed whilst inquiries continue.

Officers regularly carry patrols and stop searches following information received from members of the public.

🚔👮‍♀️ A very special visit to Madresfield Early Years Centre Ltd 👮‍♀️🚔

PC Dee Stanley and PC Molly Smith from the Kempsey & Alfrick Safer Neighbourhood Team had a fantastic time visiting the children at Madresfield Early Years Centre earlier today! 🌟

The children had the opportunity to learn all about what we do as police officers, have a look around the police car 🚓, try on some of our police kit, and even have a go at testing the blue lights and sirens! 🚨🔊

There were lots of curious questions, big smiles and plenty of excitement along the way. It was wonderful to see the children getting involved and learning more about the people who help keep their community safe. 💙

A huge thank you to everyone at Madresfield Early Years Centre for inviting us — we had a brilliant time and hope you did too! 👮‍♀️👮‍♀️🚓💙

👮🏻‍♀️👮🏼‍♀️ PC Dee Stanley and PCSO Karen Watson from the Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Team visited Malvern Wyche C of E School and Malvern Wells CE Primary School this week to deliver inputs to the children on keeping safe whilst out and about and road safety.

🏫 Both sessions were well received, with pupils engaging positively and demonstrating a strong understanding of how to stay safe within their communities and on the roads.

🚔 The officers also provided opportunities for the children to try on the uniform and ask questions about policing and public safety.

🙌 West Mercia Police would like to thank both schools for their cooperation and for welcoming officers into their classrooms.

A farmer is encouraging fellow landowners to get their off-road vehicles and machinery tagged with trackers after police swiftly recovered his buggy on Monday morning (7 September).

A Kawazaki Mule was stolen from a farm in Ledbury around 4.20am but thanks to it being fitted with a tracking device it was quickly located 30 minutes later near Poolbrook Road in Malvern.

Officers used the buggy’s tracker to find it, and it has now been returned to its rightful owner. Enquiries are ongoing into the incident.

Rural and Business Crime Officer John Meek said: “This quick recovery of the buggy shows the importance of attaching a tracking device to rural vehicles.

“The farmer has his vehicle back already, was grateful to have taken our advice to fit it and wants to encourage other farmers and landowners to do the same to protect their vehicles.”
