Joe and Kieran successful yet gain. Well done both.

This Saturday saw our Para Summer Pairs play at Erewash IBC. A round robin was played, with games of two five end sets and a 1 end shoot out. Despite the very hot weather making conditions difficult for all, there were some very close matches.

Sue Osbourne and John Marshal from City of Bristol made it through to the final and they will face Joe Peplow of Malvern Hills and Kieran Rollings of Wellingborough, both of whom will be representing Team England in the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

The final will be played at Melton and District IBC as part of the EIBA Summer Finals on Saturday 19th September.

It was a strong showing for our Team England squad, who faced Scotland and Wales in their final official prep weekend before Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. The Para Men's Pairs of Kieran Rollings and Joe Peplow were unstoppable, with 5 wins from 5, whilst Katherine Rednall and Men's Pairs, Nick Brett and Jamie Walker, secured 5 wins of 6 across the weekend.

England leave Desborough Bowling Club instilled with confidence, ahead of a huge summer, with just 39 days to go until Glasgow 2026...

Scotland and Wales have joined England at Desborough Bowling Club, with just over 6 weeks to go until their respective Commonwealth Games journey's begin. Guernsey were due to attend, but due to travel issues, they were unable to make the weekend.

A big thank you to Erewash Indoor Bowling Club who hosted our Team England - Commonwealth Games Para Squad today for another Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Prep Session.

The morning was spent with Performance Coach Mal Evans, who lead specific coaching and training sessions before the squad put the skills into practice against members from host club, Erewash.

Commiserations to both players on just missing out on the finals but Cory Wedlock on home turf is so difficult to beat in both singles and pairs. Huge congratulations to both of our players

Our commiserations go to Tom Holmes and Sian Honnor at the World Bowls Indoor Championship in Ocean Grove.

After a strong start to their campaign, the English duo saw their Mixed Pairs journey come to an end in the Semi Finals, with the Australian team securing their place in the final in straight sets.

Earlier in the day, both Tom and Sian also bowed out of the Singles competition at the Quarter Finals. Tom pushed Australia’s Corey Wedlock all the way before losing 2–1, while Scotland’s Sophie McGrouther edged past Sian by the same scoreline.

A tough set of results, but both players showed real quality throughout their matches in Australia.

Team England’s Tom Holmes and Sian Honnor collected their bronze medals following the conclusion of the World Bowls Indoor Championship Mixed Pairs Final in Ocean Grove this morning. It was a strong performance from the duo on the world stage.

Eight teams remain in the hunt for the world title, with quarterfinal action set to take over Ocean Grove tomorrow.
