It was a one sided affair for the 4th XI against Pershore CC. The hosts won the toss and chose to bat first. A young bowling attack did the job for the Green. Broderick Strachan clean bowled Harper for 5 and trapped Evans lbw for 3. Davis and Stickler added a few before Hayden Golder clean bowled Davis for 14 and Strachan (3-13) grabbed a third clean bowling Stickler for 15. Lola Stimson then had Abrams caught by George Beswick for 15, Oscar Binks then clean bowled Chiwombe for 6 and Golder (2-22) had another bowled wicket โ€“ Gethins for 4. The innings was ended by two more wicket for Stimson (3-5) as Ridings(10) gave Beswick another catch and Pollard caught by Thomas Champkins for a duck. Pershore were bowled out for 99 in the 23rd over. The Green reply lasted just 12.5 overs as Rapha Rea continued his good form with 60 not out (5 fours and 5 sixes) accompanied by Harry Howes 24no to give the Green a 10 wicket win to sit second in the league.

At Newland the 3rd XI won the toss and chose to bowl. Bartestree and Lugwardine Cricket Club slumped to 15-3 as Ollie Eyles took three wickets. Simpkin bowled for 2, Gale bowled for a duck and Preece caught by Josh Everett also without scoring. Ayaan Baig chipped in with 2 wickets โ€“ clean bowling Richards for 10 and have Trattell caught by Leon Everett for 25. Bartestree were 84-5 when Davies joined Tulacz. The opener batted well and he had just passed 50 when his partner Davies (30) was a second catch for Leon Everett this time off Max Middlebrook. Pratley joined Tulacz and it was Ollie Eyles who returned with a bang dismissing Tulacz (caught by Max Middlebrook) for 62 in his first over of his second spell. Just 2 balls later Eyles grabbed his 5th wicket clean bowling Chambers-Hebron for 4. The visitors were 182-8with 5 overs to go. Eyles grabbed one more to finish with 6-46 โ€“ bowling Goodman for 2. Bartestree and Lugwardine ended on 207-9 with Pratley not out 27.

The Green reply got off to an explosive start with multiple boundaries from Rob Wilson but he lost his partner Josh Everett with the score on 26 bowled by Trattell for 9. Kev Golder joined Wilson and boundaries continued to come with regularity and the score passed 50 in the 9th over when Wilson hit another boundary. With the score on 72 Wilson caught by Pearce off Goodman for 42 (37 balls and 9 fours). Lewis Regan came and went the same way for 9 bringing Leon Everett in to join Golder with the score on 97-3 in the 16th over. This pair added 83 and took the Green to the brink of victory before Golder was caught and bowled by Davies for 72 (70 balls 11 fours and 2 sixes. Leon Everett (40no) and Nick McAndrew (19no) guided the Green home in the 35th over to gain a well-overdue victory.

The 2nd hosted Halesowen Cricket Club at North End Lane and won the toss and chose to bat first. After losing Sam Williams (5) early Jevan Kher and Sam Clements put on 48 before Clements was stumped by Jones off Stanton for 21. Rufus Lapsley (0) was bowled by Payne which brought Freddie Ammonds in with the score on 55-3 at the end of the 8th over. In a balanced partnership they took the score past 100 in the 16th over and two overs later Kher reached his half century. Ammonds reached 50 and the score passed 150 in 24th over. The partnership was finally broken in the 35th over with the score on 199 when Kher was caught by Collumnell off Jordan for 94 off 90 balls (10 fours and 1 six). Regular wickets fell but Ammonds continued to score well. Ben Sutton (12), Ben Wheeler (13) and Elliot Hennessy (22). In the 48th over Ammonds fine innings came to an end when he was caught at mid-off by Rashid off Payne for 101 (12 fours). Jon Dovey made 18 before being caught by Payne off Stanton and the innings ended on 305 all out on the penultimate ball when Max Bentley (2) was trapped lbw by Payne leaving Jack Mackintosh 5 not out.

In the Halesowen chase Rufus Lapsley struck first clean bowling Jones for 2. Bingham was next out just after reaching his half century trapped lbw by Freddie Ammonds. Jones (8) was caught by Elliot Hennessy at slip, also off Ammonds, and Rashid followed not long after, caught by Jack Mackintosh off Max Bentley. Halesowen were wavering on 80-4 in the 21st over when Stanton joined Beasley. The scoreboard ticked over at barely 3 an over meaning the visitors were dropping further and further behind the required run rate. They passed 100 in the 27th over. With the score on 109 in the 30th over Bentley had Beasley caught behind by Wheeler for 16. From this point on Halesowen seemed make no effort to get near to the target or the 80% to prevent a 10 point winning draw. They passed 150 in the 43rd over with boundary from Stanton, they even seemed have little interest in accumulating additional batting points either and despite the rotation of Green bowlers no further wickets fell, and the Halesowen innings petered out on 177-5 giving them 8 points and the Green 16.

The 1st XI travelled to Dorridge for the first red ball game of the season โ€“ they won the toss and batted first. After losing Rehaan Edavalath (9) caught behind by Dodd off A Khan, Ollie Halion and Ryan Tongue put on 95 before Halion was trapped lbw by Radhakrishnan for 51. George Rhodes came in at 4 and he had made 36 before he was bowled by Thompson to leave the Green 195-3 in the 46th over. With 9 overs to go quick runs were needed. Tongue fell next, trapped by Radhakrishnan for 103 (9 fours and 4 sixes) and Mahaaz Ahmed (11) followed not long after caught by Mahmood also off Radhakrishnan. Joe Harrison (10*) joined Phil Harris is the 51st over with the score on 224-5. They put on 57 in just over 3 overs as Harris smashed 52 off 21 balls which included 4 fours and 5 sixes. The Green innings ended on 284-7.

Mahaaz Ahmed struck next โ€“ clean bowling Khan for 53. Mahmood (1) came and went, caught by Ollie Halion off Rhodes. Derrick joined Hodge with the score on 137-3 in the 35th over. The score passed 150 in the 39th over which also saw the 4th wicket fall as Hodge (57) was caught by Ollie Halion off Rhodes. Two overs later Rhodes has Dodd caught by Chris Steele for 3 and then Ahmed had Derrick caught behind by keeper Ash Brewer for 18. Thompson was joined by Mahmood with the score on 168-6 at the end of the 42nd over. With 116 needed off 12 overs a draw looked most likely. It wasnโ€™t until the 49th and 50th over that Dorridge attacked with 29 runs coming from them. But in the next over Rhodes took his 5th wicket when Mahmood was caught by Halion for 40. Riaz smashed 2 fours and 2 sixes but when Thompson was bowled by Chris Steele for 21, Dorridge shut up shop and the game ended in a winning draw and 15 points for the Green.
