Boccia UK have recently introduced a shiny new ranking system!
They’re taking questions for a Q&A… so if there’s anything you really want to know, now’s your chance.

Got a question about the brand‑new Boccia UK Rankings? We want to hear it!
Recently, Boccia UK launched its first ever, official UK rankings.
We know people are curious and might have questions so we’re running a special Q&A. You can send us your questions privately by DM or drop them in the comments.
🗓 Deadline for questions: next Monday - and we'll publish the full Q&A the following week
💬 Ask us anything about how the rankings work, what they mean for athletes, or what happens next.

Lovely to meet so many new and returning boccia fans at Naidex yesterday and today!

‘Tis the season… to train in 3 layers, mostly. 🥶

WHAT A DAY.
Came down to the last ball (or two) in the last minute of the last end of the last match, but WE DID IT!
Gold medal in the BC3 pairs event for me, Ruby, David and Charlotte, all made possible by Kirsty’s incredible hard work as a coach.
Rock stars, all.
EVEN MORE MEDALS TO REPORT!!
Another day and yet more medals for English athletes at the Tatra Cup in Slovakia.
BC3 pair 🥇returns home with Rafael Young and Ruby Curtis, with David Ellis and Charlotte Scurr.
They beat compatriots Lee Maddison and Chris Foster, who took🥈with Hungarian partner Dalma Ujpál.
Massive congratulations to everyone involved, whether as athletes on court or as coaches and support staff.

The BC3 competition wraps up with a loss for us after I failed to capitalise on a huge opportunity in the fourth end of an otherwise incredibly close match. Plenty to review there!
Lee Maddison & Chris Foster take a very very well-won gold medal and snazzy trophy, and David and I get silver. 🥈🥈
Next: pairs! Ruby and I will go against two multinational sides tomorrow afternoon.

Match 3 ✅ and, somehow, the very first time Ruby Curtis and I have met on a competition court! A 9-0 win, as expected against an (excellent) new player; at no time did I have it all my own way, Ruby made me work for every point. It takes a long, long time to build up matchcraft for newer BC3s and she (and her equally splendid ramp operator Charlotte) is absolutely smashing it.
That match concludes Ruby’s individual competition, next up: an England Squad derby between Lee Maddison (and RO Chris Foster) and me (and David) - we’re now each guaranteed a medal, which is a very nice position to be in going into our last match in the round robin.
Tomorrow afternoon we start the pairs competition - it’ll be very interesting to see what format that takes.
Bring it on! 🤜🏼

Round 2 ✅ a 7-4 win against Boccia Team Slovenia’s newly-minted international player Jerlah Bor Tit - another young and fast-improving athlete.
Just two matches to go now, both tomorrow, and with Boccia England friends! First my pairs partner Ruby Curtis, and then my England squad teammate Lee Maddison.

Match 1 at the Tatra Cup ✅
3-2 against Hungarian Para Boccia Federation / Magyar Para Boccia Szövetség’s now 15-year-old superstar Dalma Ujpál.

Always a pleasure to train at the University of Manchester. Hard work in strength and conditioning, a quick lunch, now back in the studio which is perfectly sized for a boccia court…
