Criterion’s new boutique Colours Range is the perfect way to follow your team during the 2026. England and Scotland are on the plane — and while Wales and Northern Ireland were knocked out, we didn’t want you feeling left out. So we designed bags for you anyway.
Can’t decide who to support? Go for the Union design and cover all bases... We won't win anyway!

When I restarted Criterion in September 2023, I had to streamline the range due to limited space to store stock and the amount of capital I had in my initial investment. The Prime 700 was one of these bags which was mothballed and I am delighted to announce that it is now in stock and available to purchase for your winter escapades in the mountains and highlands.

This new version of the Prime 700 retains the core specifications of the original model. The dimensions, 850 FP goose down fill quality and user features are the same. However, to improve weight and packability. The shell fabric has been updated to Pertex Quantum 35 (35g/m²), contributing to a total weight reduction of approximately 100g over the previous model which weighed 1210g. The new version weighs in around 1110g which represents just over an 8% reduction in weight over the old version.

The image in this post shows the old Prime 700 being used in the Scottish Highlands by Myrddin Irwin the gear renown gear tester.

Best Wishes

It’s that time of year again when the family holiday has arrived.

I’ll be away from Friday 29th August to Friday 12th September 2025. During this period, I won’t be able to despatch any Criterion stock. Unfortunately, I’ve not
been able to arrange cover, and taking gear with me isn’t practical.

If you place an order during this time, thank you for your patience. As a gesture of appreciation, I’ll include a roll-top dry bag free of charge. You’re welcome to
choose your preferred size—5L, 10L, 15L, or 20L—by emailing ([email protected]) or in the notes section of the checkout.

Otherwise I will send out the dry bag which most suits any bag purchased.

Quantum 200 and Ultralight 200 → 5L dry bag
Quantum 350, Ultralight 350, and Quantum 450 → 10L dry bag

I will still have access to email and phone for any queries.

Thanks again for your understanding and support.
