If you want to know your maintenance calories, what calories to aim for to lose fat or build muscle, and how much protein you should be eating…

Comment CALORIE and I’ll send you my free calorie calculator 😚

Fergus has lost over 15kg of fat and built muscle by simply fixing 4 things:

🍽️ Nutrition
🏋️ Training
🚶 Daily activity
🍻 Weekends & social events

Over the last couple of years we’ve cycled through periods of fat loss, muscle gain, and maintenance calories depending on the goal

It’s all been made to fit around his busy work and social schedule

Well done for executing this so well 👏

real gym statistics that social media made you forget 📉

16.9% of people in the UK have a gym membership… one of the highest rates in Europe 🇬🇧

but only around 22% of those people are still consistently attending a year later

that means only around 3–4% of the entire UK population are regularly going to the gym

the average male beginner bench press is around 48kg… roughly 50% of average male bodyweight

“intermediate” level is around 98kg 🏋️‍♂️
that’s usually years and years of consistent training

i’ve been bodybuilding for 5 years and even for me that’s still above my average

when you realise only 3–4% are consistently training, and only a fraction of those are following a plan, training hard, and progressively overloading…

bench pressing your bodyweight and above is actually extremely rare

social media has convinced you that everyone is shredded, strong, and training perfectly

meanwhile most people aren’t even making it to the gym consistently

put your phone down for a second and remind yourself that you’re doing fineeee

“less lean” but somehow stronger, fitter, happier and more present in my actual life 👀

this year i’ve spent less time obsessing over being shredded and more time building a life that feels good outside the mirror too

more strength 🏋🏼
more energy ⚡️
more tennis wins over my brother 🎾
more time with friends & family ❤️
less stress around food 🍰

it’s easy to panic when your body changes but remember that health isn’t always the leanest version

1. creatine isn’t a game changer
2. more time in the gym isn’t better
3. peptides and steroids for the sake of getting fitter is a expensive and can be very damaging to your overall health

(steroids are definitely, peptides like Ozempic can be without lifestyle changes)

4. training fasted doesn’t matter
5. obsession can quickly turn into disordered eating and body dysmorphia

you don’t need hours you need a strategy for when things get busy to keep momentum

this was a super intense session, i did 2 working sets of everything, in and out in 30min and even had time to film.
