🔵🟡Match Result: Round 3 League (10/10/26)🟡🔵

Dukinfield 1st XV 38 - 31 Hoylake

Another strong league victory for the 1st XV. Unlike the previous two weeks, Dukinfield started brilliantly, racing into an early 17-0 lead. However, the team took their foot off the gas, allowing Hoylake to stage an impressive comeback and eventually take a 31-24 lead with 20 minutes remaining.

Instead of letting their heads drop at a crucial stage of the match, Dukinfield came out fighting. They scored two well composed, converted tries in the final quarter to reclaim the lead and seal a 38-31 victory.

The crowd was treated to some outstanding tries throughout the afternoon, featuring exciting, flowing rugby from deep inside our own half.

That makes it three wins from three to start the season, with plenty of room for improvement as the team looks to kick on even further.

Man of the Match: Tom Blackhurst, who delivered an all-action performance, dominating the lineout and making a mountain of tackles.

Next week, we welcome St Edward's Old Boys to home turf. It’s been a long time since our last meeting, and it will be great to renew an old rivalry.

Man of the Match - 26/27
Oldham - Callum Wood (G&R Critchley Plumbing)
Southern Nomads - Jarrod Ward (Gus Garside)
Hoylake- Tom Blackhurst (MB Glazing)
