Erik ten Hag has seemingly been handed a boost to his summer transfer plans, with there being a real prospect of selling Anthony Elanga.

According to The Telegraph, Ronaldo is eyeing a January move from United, and Erik ten Hag will not stand in his way if a suitable offer arrives.

The move he wanted in the summer never happened and it sounds like Jorge Mendes will be pushing hard again after the World Cup.

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has revealed he was angry when a move to Tottenham failed in 2019.

“Obviously I wanted to go to the Premier League. The manager, Mauricio Pochettino, was the one who wanted me there. It was a good offer but Sporting tried their best to keep me.

“The president (Frederico Varandas) spoke with me but he spoke with me on the wrong day. It was the day after they decided to refuse the offer from Tottenham and I was really angry. Luckily for me, the manager (Marcel Keizer) was the right one at the right time.

Louis van Gaal has rubbished suggestions that he directly told Ajax defender Jurrien Timber to avoid joining Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
