Tyldesley Tennis Club

Tyldesley Tennis Club is a friendly community club that welcomes people of all ages and abilities. Whether you are a complete beginner or have played for several years, there is always a chance for you to come down and play whether it be a friendly get together or a competitive match.

With one of the cheapest annual memberships around, starting at £15 for U18s and £90 for adults you really get the best bang for your buck with floodlit, all weather courts ready for year round play.

We have weekly social tennis sessions, aimed at getting anyone and everyone involved in a friendly atmosphere, teams in various local leagues where people can wet their appetite for competitive matches and also frequent Open Days throughout the year, that usually culminates in our Annual Club Tournament Finals Day later in the year. We also have Pool, Darts and Table Tennis in our clubhouse which have been regular saviours for our rainier open days in years gone by.

If you’re looking to pick up a new hobby this summer, or have played for years and want to meet new people to hit with, Tyldelsey Tennis Club is the club for you.

Tyldesley Tennis Club is raising funds for the purchase and installation of a defibrillator at the club for the use of both its members and the local community.

The defibrillator will be dedicated to the memory of our much-loved friend Brian Critchley, who tragically passed away after suffering a heart attack whilst playing tennis at the club.

Brian's family and friends have already very kindly donated over £1,000 raised at Brian's memorial service; and the wider tennis community has also contributed almost £300 towards this great cause.

Please give whatever you can to help us create a fitting and lasting memorial for Brian.

It's time to spring clean the clubhouse and grounds so if any members are free, please come down. If anyone has some industrial wire cutters or reusable garden refuse sacks can you bring those along please. Looking forward to seeing you all

As the clocks go forward and the sunnier weather arrives, we want to tell everyone about the reasons you should join our club for the coming year.

We welcome players of all standards, from novices to seasoned team players. Memberships for current members are due to be renewed, and we are always looking for new members.
Annual Membership is £90 for adults, £30 for full time students, and £15 for juniors (18 and below).

For a facility as good as this, you wont find better value in the local area. If you don't believe us, then come and see for yourself.
