Arsenal — £200m + [Still interested in Julian Alvarez] Chelsea — £280m+ [Will sign midfielders to replace Enzo Fernandez]
Liverpool — £220m + [Looking to sign more players] Man City — £435
Spurs — £330m + [Still active in the window]
United — £150m [Satisfied with 1 senior LB for 60+ games]
Most of those clubs were STILL looking to spend MORE before the window shuts, while we seem satisfied despite obvious holes at left-back and striker. It’s simply NOT good enough.
When the games come every three days and injuries hit, remember this window before calling for Carrick to be sacked. The manager has to deliver, but INEOS and the board have to take a BIG part of the responsibility if this lack of depth costs us.

FT: 5-2. 😭❤️
“If Carrick had started the season with us, Manchester United would’ve won the Premier League.” I hope some of you finally understand what we’ve been saying. 😭
I know nobody will talk about him but Cunha deserves huge credit today. He basically played the Bruno role perfectly, constantly finding the ball, creating, turning under pressure, escaping tight spaces and connecting the attack. Excellent performance.
Tielemans still has a lot more to give. He hasn’t looked like the Premier League-proven midfielder we know he can be… He needs to do better.
We desperately need a left-back. Shaw isn’t the answer and I still cannot understand how INEOS looked at Lewis Hall and decided he was “too expensive.” The more we play, the clearer it becomes that we need someone of that profile.
And those people trying to push the “Bruno is the problem” agenda after ONE game… 😭😂
I’ll talk more about that in a special post, because apparently the PFA Player of the Year suddenly forgot how to play football after one bad game. 😭
MAINOO. MAINOO. MAINOO! 🫡
We’ve signed three midfielders and somehow Mainoo is still our best midfielder. 😭
If it wasn’t for the hat-trick, Mainoo would have easily been my MOTM. What a performance.
Brilliant second half. Brilliant scoreline. But let’s not pretend everything is suddenly perfect, there are still plenty of things to fix.
For today, though, let’s enjoy it.
Manchester United are BACK. Carrick ball. ❤️❤️❤️

Barcelona had an option to sign Rashford permanently for around £26 million, yet decided against it. Instead, they spent around £70 million on Anthony Gordon and then signed Karim Adeyemi for around £22 million plus add-ons.
For me, that says a lot. Despite Rashford putting up decent goal and assist numbers on loan, Barcelona still didn't see him as the answer.
It also highlights how badly our board handled contracts over the last few years. Handing out £325k a week it's madness. Nobody deserved those wages after the performances we'd been putting in.
The club kept giving Rashford and a few other so-called "superstars" chance after chance after chance. Meanwhile, we were served up some truly embarrassing performances while they were earning fortunes.
Personally, I've never liked Rashford's attitude. The body language has been poor, walking on the pitch and not tracking back. His PR team is toxic as well.
That said, football has a funny way of surprising people.
Thoughts?

This is crazy.. only paid £10M more to sign Cunha AND Mbeumo compared to Chelsea’s signing of Morgan Rogers for £117M today. 🤯
We really copped the last genuinely good Premier League proven attackers left for cheap last summer. £127M for these guys COMBINED is a bargain.
Genuinely hilarious how rival fans were saying we overpaid back then.. look at what the market has become. 😅💸

📉 Marcus Rashford's hopes of joining Barcelona permanently from Manchester United this summer appear to have taken a huge hit, with the La Liga champions in agreement with Newcastle over an €80 million move for Anthony Gordon, according to David Ornstein this evening.
The move for Gordon - who scored three non-penalty Premier League goals this season - has raised a few eyebrows on social media, given the success of Rashford's loan spell at Barca and a reported £26 million buy option available until June 15 for the club 🤨

You are not coming anywhere, you will be in prison when we are going to win the Champions League next season!"

Marcus Rashford via Instagram:
“Special thanks to Unai, Hansi, Thomas, Aston Villa, Barcelona & England for believing in me when things got tough. ❤️”
Technically, he is still a United player, and the club still pays part of his wages, yet there is no mention of United here.
Unbelievable that some fans still want this player back at the club.
