Your sciatic nerve is as thick as your baby finger.

The nerves in your finger are hair thin. So imagine the pain of slamming your finger in a door- in comparison to a muscle or joint pinching the sciatic nerve. It bloody hurts🫩

Your nervous system is the electrical motorways running through your body. Yes electrical!

Client is a decorator.

I took the first picture to show him how much his left side had dropped due to the release at the rhomboid/trap/lat point.

But then i took another to show the release i did on the right side

Heres hoping he finally gets a good night sleep tonight.

I have no doubts..

This past 7 days i have lost £190 in cancellations. In spaces of people who were desperate to book in but now i cant replace as its usually people messaging me within 24 hours of their appointment.

As of this moment. All appointments will be payable in full on booking. If you cancel your appointment before 48 hours of your appointment you will receive a full refund. Before 24 hours a 50% refund. And less than 24 hours no refund.

Nearly 7 years iv done this job and im always lenient. I understand emergencies happen. But i would 100% always pay whoever i was going to if i couldnt make the appointment. Regardless of my emergency. It isnt their fault.

Sometimes you just get a client that sticks with you in your mind. One that was more of a mental challenge than anything youd seen before..

I want to introduce Kirsty. Kirsty first came to me over a year ago complaining of pains in her calves. I worked on her. She stood up. And collapsed in pain.

Now im not going to lie in that split second my heart dropped. But i popped her back on the bed and stretched her out and she said she was starting to feel better.

The pains in her leg were excruciating.

Over the course of the next couple of weeks i kept treating kirsty and her symptoms werent improving as id have liked to have seen

(You all know i like sorting things in one, maybe 2 sessions)

I spent nights up researching, worrying, thinking about why.

I came up with some answers. Answers as a professional i didnt want to tell my client.

I rang kirsty out of the blue. The only thing i could say was. "Kirsty you need to get a scan. Now."

She listened. She went to the doctors who put her on an 8 month wait for scans etc.

I said no kirsty. Pay for private you need this seeing to now!

Kirsty is a very laid back character. Very, verrry laid back. BUT

She listened again. She went for scans and pushed and pushed and got an answer

She has peripheral arterial disease. Also known as PAD.

PAD is a life threatening disease that attacks the arteries with fatty deposits and increases her chance of stroke and heart attack 10 fold of an average person.

Within a few weeks of her diagnosis and her receiving the right medication, her legs are now that of an average person (even though shes tiny shel never be that of an average person😉😂)

To now know a year later.The lady who i picked up from crying pretty much on the floor in pain, has now just walked from BLACKPOOL TO BOLTON for the british heart foundation ! Is so overwhelmingly satisfying as a sports massage therapist.

I am so soooo proud of you kirsty. I am SOOO SOO glad you listened to me. And i am so relieved you came to me as a client.

To make it even better shes half the size so she did double the steps😉😂😂😂

This fascinates me.

When i talk about your nervous system, and i look at your bodies. I see this is my minds eye as you are explaining your issues

It isnt always muscle and bone. A lot of times its your nervous system sending a signal to that area

I treat the nervous system like a GPS. Your brain is the carpark area. Down the spinal cord i treat as the motorway. And off to your extremities i treat as your side roads and country roads.

An impingement (pinched nerve) in your neck can block up the motorway in your neck. Therefore affecting the side roads (shoulders/arms/fingers)

An impingement in the L4 L5 (lower back) can cause the traffic jam to go down into your legs and in some cases go down towards to feet.

I dont look as your body as a body but as a complex mass of tissue and fibres and i thoroughly enjoy working with each individual case.

Im glad that i have such a high rate of success. And in the kindest possible way, i try not to see you again... as i like to try to resolve a problem in one sitting.

Client is suffering with plantar fasciitis

Look at the release on the right (his left) foot underneath.

My god i know this treatment hurts. BUT. I have had this myself. It feels like you are walking on a shard of glass,so i know the relief afterwards 😁

A treatment like this would take me half an hour. I charge £20 for this treatment.
