It's that time of year when the fungi thrive! Siri thinks this is Laetiporus sulphurous or 'chicken-of-the-woods'. Please let us know if you disagree. 🍄🍄‍🟫🤔

ROCCO TURNS ON STYLE AT STYAL
It was a Super Sunday for Northenden Junior Rocco Norton as he won the Styal Junior Match-Play Championship final 7 & 5. The 10-year-old, who played six knockout rounds since April, finished in real style with his best-ever front nine of 38 in a day he’ll never forget…and neither will his dad Blake.

Girls Aloud…the NGC ladies have done it again with their innovative Women on Par event. Lady Captain, Sue Denford, and her committee gathered together new trial members to test their newly acquired golf skills out on the course by playing a modified Texas Scramble. That meant their mentor took the drive on each hole, then the two trial members played the rest of the hole. It turned out a big success, and the ladies were rewarded with nice prizes back in the clubhouse.

🎁 Are you a keen knitter / soap-maker / needle-felter / card designer / artist?

⛄ Do you have any friends or family who craft in their spare time?

🎄 Do you know someone who creates beautiful items that would make great Christmas gifts?

Following the success of our inaugural NGC Christmas Craft Fair last year, we are planning to hold our next one on Sunday 29th November. Once again we are looking for local crafty people who might be interested in taking a stall. Stalls will cost £12 each, with a table and chairs provided. Please ask your crafty friends to email [email protected] for more information or to reserve a table.

For those non-crafty people amongst you, please save the date. It will be the perfect occasion to purchase gifts for Christmas, as well as treats for yourself, and we will be selling seasonal refreshments to make some money for the club. Plus, it's always good to shop local and support small businesses / craftspeople.

More information to come soon!
