MFR go hiking! 🥾⛰️🌈

This morning was another of our summer social walks, where we traded the running trainers for hiking boots on a lovely walk in the Saddleworth area. Many thanks to our walk leader Rob for devising the route! 😀

Wondering what to do with those impulse-buy eclipse glasses? Maybe use them when looking at the neon shorts and vest in this photo of some of our runners on this week’s Thursday run! 😎😵‍💫

MFR do Heaton Parkrun! 🏃🌳

Well done to all the runners from our LGBTQ+ running club here in Manchester who took on Heaton Parkrun this sunny Saturday morning ahead of Prestwich Pride this weekend). Even with the somewhat infamous undulation, two members, Matt and Borja, got PBs!

We’ve got some more club Parkruns coming up, so keep your eyes peeled for catching us at future events!

Well done to all our runners who took on some interval training this sunny summer evening at Manchester Regional Arena’s track, and thanks to our coach Jacqui for leading.

It may be the summer holidays, but our running club isn’t slowing down. Well done to Gary for being a superhuman and completing another GB Ultra: a stunning 100 miles through the stunning Brecon Beacons! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Also well done to Declan and Matt for completing the West Cheshire 10K in Chester, and kudos to Matt on the sub-40 PB! 💥

And last but not least, well done to Jono for completing his first Tough Mudder Infinity – 37 km of running and dodging/enduring obstacles! 👊

We at Manchester Frontrunners are devastated to hear about what happened at Berlin’s Pride festival yesterday evening (Saturday 25th July 2026).

We send out our thoughts to the victims and their loved ones, to the people of Berlin and Germany, and to the wider LGBTQ+ community globally.

Now and always, we stand in solidarity against hate and violence. 🏳️‍🌈❤️🏳️‍⚧️🕊️🇩🇪
