Congratulations to FirstPoint athlete Christopher Nezianya who has committed to NCAA DI Mercer University in Macon, Georgia!

Christopher is a talented young striker who made the move from FC Cincinnati’s MLS Next team to the Tulsa University men’s soccer program in 2024. He made 20 appearances for the Golden Hurricanes, who reached the semi-finals of the American Conference Championship last season.

Chris will make the transfer to , where he’ll play in the Southern Conference and team up with Head Coach Brad Ruzzo. The Bears have reached the NCAA National Tournament on 5 occasions under Ruzzo’s leadership, most recently in 2023.

With the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships just around the corner (June 10–13), college track and field is about to hit its absolute peak. 🏃‍♂️💨

But before the nation’s best college athletes battle for gold, we have to talk about where they train and compete. The college facilities in the US are essentially Olympic villages, offering up incredible theatres for the world’s best up and coming athletes to showcase their talents.

We pick out a few of the absolute best in the game, starting with the undisputed GOAT known as TrackTown USA, which will provide the host venue for next month’s DI nationals…

Congratulations ato FirstPoint athlete Owen Goodwin on his commitment to NCAA DII McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois! 🇺🇸✈️

Owen is a standout Scottish talent from Dumfries Saints RFC. Playing at Number 8, his leadership and growth have been evident throughout his development—captaining the Saints from U13s through to U16s, earning selection for the Glasgow and the West Academy at U16 level, and picking up the U17s Most Improved Player award.

This Fall, Owen will make the move stateside to join the program under Director of Rugby and Head Coach Cameron Wyper. The Bearcats are an ambitious program on the rise. Competing in the Midwest Rugby Conference, they continue to build a strong reputation within CRAA D1A and are fresh off an appearance at the CRAA Men’s College 7s Championships.

We wish Owen the very best of luck as he steps up to the college rugby stage with . We can’t wait to watch his progress in the States! 🏉💪

Congratulations to FirstPoint athlete Adam Marsh who has committed to NCAA DII West Liberty University in West Virginia.

Adam is a talented young goalkeeper and a Stockport County Academy player, where he has gained experience at the professional level. He currently plays for Stockport Town FC at U18s, having also gained experience in the 1st team. He was a student at Cheadle Hulme High School where he was schools sports captain and sports personality of the year, and has represented Great Manchester Schoolboys. During his time in the Academy, he has gained coaching and refereeing qualifications.

He will join the program this Fall, to team up with head coach Sean Regan. The Hilltoppers reached the semi-finals of the MAC Conference semi-finals last season, losing 3-2 to Concord who they beat during the regular season. Their quarter-final win was their first ever MAC Tournament win, so Adam is joining a team very much on the up!

🤝🏈 FirstPoint USA has announced a first-of-its-kind partnership with the Belfast Trojans American Football Club. The collaboration is set to open up high school and collegiate pathways for aspiring athletes across Northern Ireland.

Marking a new milestone in FirstPoint USA’s extensive partnership portfolio, the agreement represents the agency’s first-ever official partnership within American Football.

Celebrating their 20th anniversary, the Belfast Trojans are one of the most decorated sports franchises on the island of Ireland. The reigning American Football Ireland (AFI) Premier Division national champions are now performing on the European stage in the Central European Football League (CEFL) and have established a successful female Flag Football team and youth development program for 15 – 18 years old athletes in the past decade.
