Today we’re celebrating the incredible women on our club committee but with a little twist 👶➡️🏑

Behind every one of these baby pictures is a volunteer who gives their time, energy and passion to help keep our hockey club running. From organising fixtures and supporting teams to all the behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything moving, their dedication makes a huge difference to our club and community.

We're proud to celebrate all of the amazing women in our club, our players, supporters and umpires - all who make our community vibrant and fun!

🙌 WE'RE FINALLY BACK ON THE PITCH 🏑
3️⃣'s were out in force on Sunday against Oldham! The team were 3-0 down at half time, but came out swinging in the second half with 3 goals in 9 minutes!!

POD ⭐️ - Ava for her fantastic debut match & beautiful goal!

DOD 🍆 - Ellie for having forgotten over the break what some of the essential hockey kit is - luckily her teeth were spared any close calls this march! 😂

Fingers crossed this weekend all teams will be playing🤞

The Christmas break has arrived very early this year🎄🎅🎁
2️⃣ Our 2s held Rochdale off with a 1-1 draw with a lovely goal from . 👏
POD - for her copious saves.⭐️
DOD - for leaving her stick on the pitch.🪿

1️⃣ Our 1s beat Urmston 2-0 with quick reactions on a penalty corner by and a cracking reverse at an impossible angle by Kate.👏

DOD - Liane for her attempt to play football & .fitton for her pile on with Loz and finding her stick in strange places 👀🍆

FESTIVE TRAINING SESSION TONIGHT - Costumes & Christmas Jumpers are Welcome 🎄

CHRISTMAS PARTY SATURDAY - Theme: favourite book character 📚

Last weekend was a WINNING WEEKEND for our teams 🙌
1️⃣ - 1s was fairly dramatic with two penalty flicks, green cards and a last minute field goal.
POD - for an excellent debut in defence.⭐️
DOD - for her penalty corner hollering and dramatic fall/stick flinging.🏑

2️⃣ - 2s started with a flurry of goals from Moss Park in the first half, but it was nail biting as Bowdon attempted to come back, alas, Moss came out on top!
POD - Connie for her stick work and Holly for her debut.⭐️
DOD - Jos for thinking she was playing cricket and catching the ball! 🏏

❄️It might be -2° now, but we're warming to a tropical 7° tomorrow 👌
🌡All three teams will be out in force, fully defrosted and ready to go!
🥶 Players are encouraged to wear their wimp vest/base layer; there are no awards for braving the cold, and frostbite is not an acceptable excuse for missing training on Tuesday 😉
