April for me has been one nasty virus after the other, and health and exercise has taken a backseat. I have eaten much more than I usually would (once the vomiting bug was gone!), and much more of the wrong stuff than usual, and I have done virtually no exercise all month.
My body just hasn't been up to it, and that's ok. I'll feel better and I'll get back on track. It doesn't matter that I've put on a couple of pounds this month, because I have a long-term strategy, and short-term set-backs will happen. The important thing is to accept that things won't always go to plan, let your body rest and recover if it needs to, then ease your way back into things once your body tells you it's ready.
It's easy to feel bad for not staying on plan, but don't - part of a good plan is having a plan B, and that means responding to change and moving on. In the meantime, keep drinking fluids and rest up!
