🏆 MAN OF THE MATCH – JOSH WOODWORTH 🏆

In what was, by our own admission, a fixture to forget, one player stood head and shoulders above the rest. 💪🔵

Josh Woodworth was outstanding from start to finish, putting in a fantastic individual performance and showing exactly what commitment, determination and pride in the shirt look like.

Josh made his tackles, chased everything down and produced a fantastic last-ditch effort, finishing with a brilliant try-saving tackle that summed up his performance perfectly! 👏🔥

Sometimes, even when things don’t go your way as a team, individual performances deserve to be recognised, and Josh’s certainly does.

Well done, Josh! A thoroughly deserved Man of the Match and a fantastic individual display. 💙

🔵⚪ TWO FANTASTIC DAYS OF RUGBY! 🔵⚪

The season has well and truly started, and what a weekend it’s been for rugby! 💙🏉

Our Wythenshawe Seniors battled to a hard-fought 33–33 draw away against Ashton 2s. A fantastic performance from the lads, and although we were unlucky not to secure the victory, a great result to bring home from a tough away fixture. 💪

And Mr Teej, along with a number of other Wythenshawe youngsters, helped their teammates from Didsbury Barbarians secure an impressive 25–10 victory over Leigh Rugby. 👏🔥

A massive well done to everyone involved, players, coaches, volunteers and supporters. This is what our club is all about: developing players, supporting each other and enjoying our rugby.

🏉 NEXT UP — FIRST HOME GAME! 🏉

Our Seniors are back at Painswick Park for their first home game of the season:

⏰ 3:00pm Kick-Off

🏆 MAN OF THE MATCH — IVAN WONG 🏆

A fantastic performance from Ivan, who is growing into his role and becoming more confident with every game.

He’s showing a real hunger for the new position he’s playing, with his awareness, intensity and consistency standing out throughout the game.

A well-deserved recognition for a player continuing to develop, adapt and make a real impact for the team. 💙

Growing. Confident. Hungry. Aware. Intense. Consistent.

Congratulations Ivan — Man of the Match! 👏🔥
