At the conclusion of a great first day of the Lancashire Golf Amateur at Hopwood, the field of 132 players produced some great scores on the challenging Blue Course. The best of the day was an outstanding five under par 67 by John Carroll from Huyton & Prescott Golf Club, closely followed by a 68 by Toby Ainsworth from Marriot Worsley Park. Both made the most of warm but blustery conditions on a very well presented course.
Very solid scores from home players Ben Crompton (71) and Graeme Jackson (72), with a mix of results from the rest of the field as shown on the Live Leaderboard on our Championship Landing Page at mangc.co.uk
