90/100

90 down, 10 to go.

Have I enjoyed this challenge?

Yes?

Have I got what I wanted from it?

Also yes.

I just don’t have anything else for you right now 🤷🏼‍♂️

Losing my voice, soz.

When I sit and think about how far things have come since I was at school, it blows my mind a bit.

I can’t even imagine how much more advanced things will be in another 20 years 🤯

And another one…

44-7 win, taking us to 3-0 this season.

The DL are dogs, and everyone ate today.

On to the next one.

Some people fu***ng hate what they do, and still HAVE to do it.

Going to work for someone else, making them rich, and hating their life in the process.

At least we get to work hard and tire ourselves out for our own dreams and goals 🤷🏼‍♂️

11 years dealing with drunk knobheads was the best coaching education I ever got.

Hospitality teaches you things no qualification will.

How to read people quickly.

How to be direct without making a situation worse.

How to handle pressure without losing the plot.

And it gave me a perspective that’s stuck with me:

That person might have saved up for this.

That night out might be the thing they’ve looked forward to all week.

You’ve got no idea what’s it means for them.

So how do you make it brilliant for them?

Coaching is exactly the same.

Someone has said no to something else to say yes to you.

You don’t know what that was.

You don’t know what they’ve already tried, what it took to reach out, or how much is riding on this working.

Coaches who get obsessed with programmes and check-in structures miss the bit that actually matters.

People remember how you made them feel.

I think if you were ACTUALLY for inclusivity, you wouldn’t be taking advantage of and exploiting people because of what they look like just to get more eyes on your own content.

You can’t tell me that that’s not your intention if you’ve only ever reacted to obese people’s content, and not more socially acceptable bodies as well.

Give it a rest.

Benny came to The Amplifier with a problem most coaches will recognise.

He could get clients results.

They’d lose the weight.

Then they’d put it all back on.

In his words:

“What I seen was happening with a lot of clients was that they were losing weight and then didn’t have the tools or know how to keep that off.”

“So they’re on this cycle of losing weight, piling it back on.”

That cycle was the thing he was desperate to break.

Because getting someone an initial result is one thing.

Getting them to keep it, and actually change their life, is a different skillset entirely.

It’s the skillset nobody teaches you.

Benny put the work in, and here’s what happened:

“The tools that Lewis had provided, I was able to implement them straight away and clients loved it off the bat.”

“I noticed a huge shift in terms of their motivation, in terms of their clarity, and what they’re trying to achieve.”

When your clients stop chasing a quick fix and start treating this as a lifelong thing, they stay.

They get better results.

They refer their mates.

Your retention goes up, and your business stops feeling like a leaky bucket.

Benny again, on what it’s done for him:

“It’s been a game changer in terms of client retention and feedback from clients.”

And the bit I appreciated most:

“Lewis is Lewis. He is exactly as he is on the tin.”

Can’t argue with that ha.

If you’re a coach who can get clients but watches them drift off after a few months, that’s not a lead problem.

It’s the exact thing Benny fixed.

His verdict:

“It’s a small investment for the return that you’ll make off it, both for your coaching as a whole and for the benefits that your clients will get from it.”

“I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.”

Cheers Benny.

Most coaches are brilliant instructors.

They write great plans, deliver solid programs, and know their stuff inside out.

And for a lot of clients, a lot of the time, that’s exactly what’s needed.

But at some point in most coaching relationships, something changes.

Your client already knows what they should be doing.

They’re just not doing it.

When that happens, another plan isn’t the answer.

More advice isn’t the answer.

Better instructions aren’t the answer.

That’s the moment coaching actually starts.

Knowing when to make that switch, and how to ask the right questions when you do, is one of the most underrated skills in this industry.

If you want 50 questions you can use with clients who are stuck, comment QUESTIONS and I’ll send them across.
