To understand what you are doing it’s vital to have enough data coming in to constantly add to the equation.
I started adding to my knowledge with BJJ at the relatively late age of 38 years old. I have learnt so much from Martyn Cahill and from training with all my training partners at Fighting Fit.
Many of these training partners are half my age but I learn from them with every session. Being a perpetual student is not only important for your own development as an instructor, it is also hugely rewarding.
If you are thinking of improving your life with martial arts, whatever your age, now is the time! Huge thanks to Martyn Cahill and everyone at fighting fit and CFS martial arts.

Principles. Learning principles or ‘metas’ rather than technique alone allows us to use our ability for real. If we learn just the ‘how’ (technique) and not the ‘where’ ‘when’ and ‘why’ we can look powerful and dynamic on the bag. But this does not mean we have ability. Even a sloppy technique at the right time and in the right place can give us the right answer. This is no excuse for poor technique though! 🤣

We don't know exactly when we will be able to get back to our corporate training - soon we hope! But to be able to bring people back together as a team doing an engaging, fun and developmental activity like martial arts is a perfect way to welcome everyone back to the workplace and get back at it!

Absolute belter of a birthday cake for Husain’s birthday! Husain has been putting in the hard work over the years and is still working hard as an nhs Doctor over this enforced break from training. Happy birthday Husain!

Anywhere can be a dojo! We don’t need a gym or a sports hall to train. A company boardroom, car park or meeting room is a great place for learning new skills
