Can’t wait for more home truths and snacks from my daughter after my next race. Effort is compulsory and a minimum standard in our household. My biggest fear in competing is not the race or the competition, it is not showing my kids 100% effort in every moment.

First open water swim and T1 transition lessons with . Going through where my goggles go, how to get out of my wetsuit quick, where to put my kit etc are small details, but important for triathlon. Swim cap came straight off after the water FYI.

Was genuinely about to stick my helmet over the top of this on my first triathlon. Good job I learned here rather than at Ironman Bolton next week.

17 days until my 2nd Triathlon

Training hasn’t been great over the past few weeks with our latest backyard ultra event. But I’m back in the saddle today and ready to get back to work on finishing my first 70.3 in prep for my first Ironman in August.
