Was at a meeting this week about a brand new cyclosportive being organized by Tottington and Bury West Rotary Club. Sounds like it is going to be an amazing event even in its first year.
So make a date in your diary for the 25th August to ride the inaugural Reg Harris Cyclosportive. Entry will be available online via British Cycling website. Entry £20 with a commitment to raise £15 for the following three amazing local charities.
Bury Hospice
Bury Cancer Support Centre
Bury Tandem Club for the Blind.
The Rotary club have also committed to run the event as totally non-profit with any surplus from the entry fees being donated to charity too.
So riders sign up and support the event. If you can not ride but would be willing to marshall. The Rotary club is looking for 50 volunteers who are over 18 to ensure every junction in fully covered.
It is going to be a great day so why not join in.
