BATTLE OF BRITAIN SUCCESSES FOR A&T RIDERS

It was the turn of the Open and Junior teams to contest the Battle of Britain matches at Edinburgh on Sunday.

Astley & Tyldesley's Frank White top scored for the victorious North & Scotland team, as they defeated the Midlands, 101-78 in the Junior match. Frank dropped just one point to an opponent from his six rides. His A&T team mate, Oscar Belt, weighed in with an impressive score of 16 points plus 4 bonus from his six rides.

This was followed by the Open match, won by the South East & Eastern team on 99 points. The North & Scotland team took 2nd place, after beating the Midlands team in a tie break race, after both had finished on 84 points. A&T's Ed Morton scored 4 points plus 1 bonus from 2 rides, before securing the vital 2nd place in the tie break race behind his race partner, Reece Pollitt.

Congratulations to the North & Scotland team on winning the overall Battle of Britain series, after winning both the Women's and Junior matches and taking second place in the Open match.
