WHEN THE ROYAL NAVY COMES TO WBBA! ⚓🥋🔥

What an incredible opportunity for our members!

We were delighted to welcome the Royal Navy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Team back to Wythenshawe Black Belt Academy for another fantastic FREE seminar!

This was their second visit bringing their knowledge, experience and passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu straight to our mats.

WBBA is proud to be partnered with the Royal Navy through Project Chrysalis an outreach initiative funded by the Royal Navy that works with community projects across the country to help people access opportunities in education and employment.

It’s about opening doors, building confidence and creating opportunities that can make a real difference to people’s futures. And that’s something we’re incredibly proud to be part of!

A massive thank you to the Royal Navy BJJ Team for giving their time, sharing their skills and providing another brilliant experience for our members.

Two visits down … and we can’t wait for the next one! 💪🏻

This is what community, opportunity and martial arts are all about! 🥋🙌🏻

WHAT A WEEKEND FOR WBBA! 🥇🥊

Three young lads stepped up to compete this weekend… and all three came away victorious!

🥇 Greg – GOLD in Kickboxing at the WKO World Kickboxing Championships
🥇 Keiron – GOLD in Kickboxing at the WKO World Kickboxing Championships
🏆 Harry – MMA victory by submission with a triangle choke

We couldn’t be prouder of all three of them!! The hard work, commitment and hours of training that happen behind the scenes all led them to moments like these.

👊🏻 Three fighters
👊🏻 Three victories
👊🏻 One very proud WBBA ❤️

Keep an eye on our page as we share some of the action. 👀🔥📹

Massive congratulations Greg, Keiron and Harry - you did yourselves and WBBA proud! 👏🏻🥋

This year marks 18 years of WBBA!! But our story began long before the academy as you know it today …

Our family’s martial arts journey stretches back to the 1970s with the first family club opening in the early 1980s.
Through different names, different generations and decades of training one thing has always remained the same … our passion for martial arts and our commitment to the Wythenshawe community.

Today that legacy continues at Wythenshawe Black Belt Academy.

What once began with Kenpo Karate and Ju-Jitsu has grown into an academy offering seven different martial arts disciplines, with students competing at local, regional and international levels.

But WBBA has always been about more than what happens on the mats …

❤️ It’s the families who have trusted us with their children
❤️ The students who walked through our doors as nervous beginners and found their confidence
❤️ The friendships made
❤️ The achievements celebrated
❤️ The generations who now train alongside one another

18 years of WBBA.
Decades of family history.
Three generations.
And so many people who have become part of our story.

To every student, parent, instructor, supporter and friend who has been part of the journey - thank you 🙏🏻

Here’s to everything we’ve built together and everything still to come🥋❤️
