It is with great sadness that Aldwinians RUFC shares the passing of Alan Jackson following a short illness.
Alan was a well-known and valued part of the Aldwinians family for many years, and his passing leaves a huge void within the club and wider community. Our thoughts are with Maureen, his family, friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
We would also like to recognise the care and compassion shown by the staff at Tameside Hospital during Alanβs time on Ward 40.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
Friday 5th June 2026
β’ 10:30am β Service at St Joseph's RC Church
β’ 12:00pm β Hollinwood Crematorium (immediate family only)
β’ Afterwards β Gathering at Aldwinians RUFC
Family flowers only. Donation details to follow.
Rest in peace, Alan. β€οΈπ€

A tough afternoon on the road for the Vets against a strong Broughton Park side. Plenty of effort, plenty of fight, but not our day this time around.
Thank you to everyone who travelled over and supported the lads as always ππ¦πΉ
