A picture story of today’s events at the ground, all for a 30 second advert ( this is day four, the previous three days filming took place elsewhere) to be shown before, at half time and then full time during the World Cup games on TV, already into 12 hours here and it’s not over yet, waiting for some twilight scenes. You are sure to see some great grounds during the World Cup, the Butchers Arms will be amongst them

Lots of work gone into the pitch this last week or so but it’s already looking on the up, Bryan, Jack and Paul @ premier turf have pulled out all the stops, verti drain and feed next week then nature will do its thing, with a helping hand to work its wonders in time for our first preseason home game on Tues 14th July 7.45pm KO v Widnes Town, lots to be excited about for the coming season and we want to give our players the best possible surface we can so that they can do what they do best.

Our preseason friendly games have now been arranged, home admission prices are £5 adult and £3 Concs with free entry to these games for season ticket holders, league rules determine that we cannot advise season ticket prices until after the NWCFL AGM on Sat June 20th, we should be able to let you know very shortly after that meeting, excellent games to look forward to in July

Thanks for the invitation we will definitely be having some of that, it’s been a while

Some of the work going on behind the scenes so far, we will keep you updated as we carry on

The curtain will officially come down on the 2025/2026 season at the NWCFL AGM in Blackpool on the 20th June however the FA has started to move things forward already with the NLS allocations for the new season, exciting times ahead, club news will be passed on to you all as and when it happens in the coming weeks, enjoy your close season and we will welcome you back for the preseason games in July, news of those will be relayed when all is finalised. The new season starts 1st August, be a part of it and enjoy the ride.

The FA has released the league allocation for the coming 2026/2027 NWCFL season, making some sweeping changes, I think there will be some appeals pending from some of the Manchester clubs

RIP Nigel Randall you will be missed so much, thank you all for the magnificent send off ❤️

So we say our final goodbye on Tuesday the 12th to Nigel Randall one of Droylsden F.C. finest. Anyone who knew him would know of his love and passion for the club.
The service will take place at Dukinfield crematorium at 2pm then onto Droylsden football club afterwards to celebrate his life, all are welcome.
Anyone wishing to wear the clubs colours are more than welcome as it would be a fitting tribute to this wonderful man. God bless you Nigel you are missed but your name lives on 🩸❤️🩸

Cody Artwell who as a young boy heard the cheers from inside the Butchers Arms and dreamt of playing there, his dream came true and his goals live in ours ❤️
