What a day. That's round three of the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championship complete at Donington Park and what 180 it has been from yesterday's events!
After struggling in qualifying and race 1, today definitely has been onwards and upwards. In today's first race I came from P6 to fight my way up to P2 and was happy to be starting race 3 from the front row. A mega launch from the lights put me out in front and the defensive game was on. With six cars in the lead pack by the end of the race and some chopping and changing for the lead, it was nail biting stuff.....
But it all came good and I fought for that top step of the podium, bringing it home in P1 🏆 🏁
Glad to be back.

When you're out at dinner but your mate is racing in the IMSA Mazda Mx5 Cup.
Let's go 🙌

That's the first day of round 3 of the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championship complete Donington Park and it's not exactly been the smoothest of days....
Changing track conditions in qualifying led to a P8 start but it should have been all to play for from there in race 1. However, a couple of mechanical and human errors put me right down the order, well outside of the top 10. But it wasn't all over and the recovery drive in the second half of the race meant we came away with P6.
Onwards and upwards tomorrow!

It feels fantastic to be back out on track and the level of exciting, action packed competition was exactly what racing Mazdas is all about. Thank you to my Dad, Ian, for all his hard work on the car and getting it ready for the season and thank you to Mr Transit for keeping it in tip top condition all weekend.
Thanks also goes to everyone at

What an opening race for the 2026 BRSCC Mazda Mx-5 Championship! With three of us fighting for the lead for the entire 20 minutes and so much chopping and changing of places, it was definitely a great example of fast pace, exciting Mazda racing.
All in all I'm happy with P3 considering what an intense battle that was and the high standard from the competition!
