Once A Blue Man City

Partnership working is integral to Once A Blue Man City, whether it's joining forces with companies, supporters clubs or charities.

For that reason, we're always delighted to link up with Blues in Business, a not-for-profit group of business people with a love for City who meet four times a year in venues across Manchester city centre.

The summer get-together took place this week at Gino D'Acampo Manchester in INNSiDE by Meliá and was attended by five Once A Blue Man City members: Mark Lillis, Jeff Whitley, Paul Moulden, David White and Paul Lake. Ex-professional and former City kit man Les Chapman was on hand to ask the questions.

A great afternoon was had by all...many thanks to Glen Lockett and his team for the invitation and for their ongoing support.

💙 Once A Blue Man City was delighted to lend its support to the recent March of the Day 2026 event, which brought the football and rugby league world together to raise money for the Darby Rimmer Foundation and the Leeds Hospitals Charity.

The 350-mile relay walk began at Liverpool FC on June 1st, taking in dozens of stadia throughout the north en route to its final destination, the Rob Burrow Centre in Leeds. Pit stops included Wigan Athletic, Wakefield Trinity, Bradford City and Dewsbury Rams, as well as the Etihad Stadium.

Former Blues' midfielder Jeff Whitley was among the team of walkers, and City Women legend Steph Houghton MBE – whose husband Stephen Darby was diagnosed with MND in 2018 – was part of the support squad.

OAB President Joe Corrigan MBE and Executive Committee members David White and Paul Lake were on hand to welcome Jeff and Steph to the Etihad Stadium on behalf of Once A Blue, and to congratulate them for their magnificent efforts.

So far, over £15,000 has been raised to tackle Motor Neurone Disease, in memory of Chris Rimmer and Rob Burrow and in support of Stephen Darby, Marcus Stewart and all those in the UK facing the battle with MND.

🇳🇴 Velkommen til Oslo!

A contingent from Once A Blue Man City is currently visiting the capital of Norway as guests of Manchester City Supporters Club, Norway and Denmark.

Both groups have formed a fantastic bond over the last couple of seasons, with Tør, Jan and the rest of the OSC very generously raising funds for both Once A Blue and City in the Community.

Our Danish and Norwegian friends often visit the Etihad to watch their beloved Blues, and are well-known for their Manchester socials!

But they also love inviting ex-City stars over to Oslo, and this weekend a group including David White, Paul Lake, Ian Brightwell, Richard Edghill and OSC Chairman Kevin Parker have journeyed over to this wonderful City.
