👉 Why I Don't Promote Massage Benefits That Others Promote 👇
Massage undoubtedly has some good benefits. But the benefits that are almost always promoted by most massage therapists are utter bu****it. And I am not about that.
Bu****it may sell, if only temporarily until the customer realises it is bu****it. But even if it sold long-term I will always put honesty before lies and monetary gain.

🤲 What Makes A Good Therapist 👇
Here's a summary of my What Makes A Good Therapist post.
In short, a good therapist- regardless of the kind of therapy - is what makes a good person. Someone who has all of the above attributes. It is the same for a teacher and a personal trainer or nutrition coach.
Essentially, it is someone who you would happily go to see, listen to, talk to, and whose touch you trust. That last point can even apply to psychotherapy - just look at the trust fall test!

👉 What does massage do? What DOESN'T massage do? How might it benefit you? Read the slides, there are only 4 teeny tiny short ones.

👉 We're back with a "Benefits of massage" post! How did I ever forget this one? 👇
❤ So here we're back for part 6 - just like the crappy Friday the 13th films that pretend the franchise is over, only to continue forever. This time we're looking at the effects of massage on blood pressure for people with hypertension or prehypertension ❤
So there is significant evidence that massage can have significant effects on both systolic blood pressure (SBP - the top reading) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP - the bottom reading).
🏋 Now, since I am also a strength and fitness conditioning coach, I will ALWAYS encourage people to lead a healthy active life, eat well, and sleep well, and these things will all help to lower blood pressure to healthy levels ( ) 💪
💆♀️But if massage can also help with this and is extremely safe, it relaxes people, and makes people feel good, I say include it in your personal health treatment! What harm is a weekly or twice weekly massage going to do?
You get one body - your one true home - treat it well! 💆♀️

👉 bit of a basic, short, and boring one today guys and girls. Unfortunately the truth isn't always sexy 👇
"How To Choose A Massage Therapist"
Massage therapists aren't highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals. They CAN be if they also have other credentials and are quite well read/learned. But massage itself is basically just rubbing dressed up as something more scientific and therapeutic.
Anyway, read the slides ☝️ there's only 5 of them including the title. You've not got ADHD have you?

👉 What Makes a Good Therapist? Part 2 👇
A good therapist . . . read the slides!!! 🤷🏻♂️
✅️ Empathy, ✅️ accountability, ✅️ a sense of humour, ✅️ being themselves, ✅️ passion for their field and for helping you, ✅️ not being a hypocrite.
A good therapist - of any kind of therapy - is someone who you would happily go to see, listen to, and whose touch you trust.
